+1 we have now for about a year, requiring customer to fill out a form for a PPI of their choice at their choice of Dealer, ship the car their and have THEM pay for it...

I think this is the best as they PICK their own mechanic, who has no intrest in the case.

    Right on the mark.

I enjoy following Roy's drama, he's good for a few of these a year. From a publicity-hound perspective, he's a master at getting PR--good or bad--via the chat boards.

IMO, This kind of thing should really play out to endgame before one party or another publically posts a complaint, since they are both dealers. FChat and other resources are around so the public can learn and choose who to do business with. Since they are dealers and not private citizens my opinion is they shouldn't be using chat boards to bellyache about a deal gone bad. Until there is final resolution all these threads consititute is pressure for a more acceptable outcome than is currently on the table.

Your right. I shouldn't of let myself get sucked into this. It's just so easy to click "Reply". Hopefully over time as I continue to do business. Members will see that my strengths outweigh my weaknesses. I'm no saint either, but I do try and be open and honest.

Richard, PLEASE TELL ME YOU DIDNT CALL THESE WHEELS POLISHED! DOES ANYONE HAVE THE AD?

Heres your shot to be open and honest.....

Are the wheels A. Chrome, B. Polished, C. Severely screwed up

Everyone here can see them.........whats the answer Richard?
You can redeem yourself a tiny little bit with the correct answer!

I personally would call them dipped in acid and look as if they have been dechromed!

Here's the story on the wheels, which I clearly discussed with Kevin. I told him they looked oxidized and that the detail guy was going to clean them up. What I didn't know is they were magnesium and using wheel cleaner ruins the wheels. This is something that Kevin brought to my attention. They sure don't look like that when the pictures were taken.

Thats not true. Consider how many destroyed classic cars have been put back together in PRISTINE condition before salvage titles existed.

Those wheels look messed up...I wouldnt have known at first but they were not right in your pictures either...LOOK AT THE PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT WHEEL. Your ad describes the car as Pristine.....

Lets see according to websters....1: belonging to the earliest period or state : original <the hypothetical pristine lunar atmosphere>
2 a: not spoiled, corrupted, or polluted (as by civilization) : pure <a pristine forest> b: fresh and clean as or as if new <used books in pristine condition>

THE CAR IS 100% NOT PRISTINE.....look at the brake calipers. If I bought this car I would be on the earliest flight to San Diego to get my refund!

It also looks like you agree that the wheels are messed up and you misrepresented the car to Kevin....or at the very least the wheels. What are you and Sports Car Company going to do to make this right with Cats?

There is truth to this...YOU CAN NOT "Polish" a Magnisum wheel..which come on the year 2001 Diablo 6.0 cars...I will give RICK an OK for not knowing that, many people dont know that...BUT when we asked and as the add said AND as he assured us..these WERE FACTORY done wheels...I was skeptical...but thought well other weird things have come out of Lambo, maybe someone paid extra for this different wheeel..THEN after his "Detailer" ruined the wheel further with chemicals and sent it out looking like it was DIPPED in acid..at the LEAST you would think an offer to "replace the wheels" get them re-coated and painted" correctly...NOPE...

+1 on this. If a car is put back together CORRECTLY...then it could be prestine...however, selling a car with a laundry list of defects while advertising it as prestine...well, that's something different, IMHO.

I feel pretty poorly about those wheels. I thought they were just oxidized and not ruined as I've been told. If you end up with the car after all the legal wrangling. I will exchange the wheels with Roy at my expense.

Thanks for that, I appreciate it...however I KNOW of NO 6.0 wheels on the market, a rare wheel for sure. I have ONE SET myself, which I have been keeping for emergency..

I am also told by a Lambo mechanic...that I respect, that the integrity of the wheel of this material has been compromised by the use of these chemicals and drill polishing, he does not recomend using them in high speed runs..I do not know what to say about that..?

But NOW that yoou will take care of the 4 wheels...what about the rest of the car...after all we are half way there..?

The ad says "stunning to look at" and, yes, those wheels are "stunning to look at". Not good. Hurts to look.

I did something similar, but not as bad, on a car about 20 years ago. I used a harsh wheel cleaner on alloy wheels that had painted center caps. One quick spray and wipe and the paint on the center caps was history. Yikes. Expensive mistake but nothing compared to chemically compromising a set of unobtanium 6.0 magnesium wheels.

Ah, Negative = salvage title that has been cleaned off.

I'll make sure to call you for my next car, I really need a dealer who goes that extra mile.

Yes, sad...this thread was started by me to get a MORAL answer from other memebers here....IT was never intended to call OUT Dealer B..I have been dealing with it on the side for over a month now and will follow it through in the proper complaint channels I have gone done..

IT was someone else that turned the thread in another direction....I STILL have no intention of resolving this issue here on the internet nor calling out Dealer B...
