Every new model would first be introduced in a race series. If it does not fit in a race series it will not be considered. This might open a space for a Ferrari SUV, but it would have to first compete in Dakar and the Baja 500/1000 before the first street legal one is released. Only time a model will be released without first having some degree of sucess on the track would be for Omologation purposes.

WOW, that's a good question, I guess since I really don't know that much about the business aspect of Ferrari and guessing now that it is doing pretty good, I would leave it just the way it is right now. They are still making cars and it seams like a lot of people want them, the resale on Ferrari's is still good, I guess, so yea, I would leave it just like it is now. If it isn't broken, then don't try and fix it! ;)

I would pffer $300,000 for any 308 out alive today. I'd sell myself my own car and then quit Ferrari ............ just kidding.

Come out with a new 430 let's call it a 440 TT (twin turbo) with around 600 HP that weighs around 3200pds with an all new design. Wouldn't let it leave the door unless it's one of the beautiful cars Ferrari ever made. Make a "bare bones" lighter (under 3000pds) drivers car 440 variant with no drivers aids, no abs, no paddle shifters, R rated tires, etc. The perfect Street/Track car. Price $180k (bare bones car) -$220k (regular model). Models produced a year: 1000 (Bare Bones) 3,900 Regular model. (4900 all together)

Come out with a new 599 lets call it the 630 with close to 700 HP V-12. Keep the weight down (Under 3500pds) make it beautiful. Price $300k. Models produced a year: 2,500

Come out with an Enzo like car with the same 700 hp engine V-12 (save money) keep it under 3000 pds though make it beautiful and not as aggressive looking as the last Enzo. Price $500k. Models produced a year: 300

I dont really know what I would do with the rest, but I would immediately stop competing in F1 for a minimum of three years, and then not until the program was made more realistic and competitive.

We agree. Businesswise it'd be a little better to first enter a few other series, and then say cheers to F1. It's past its' sell-by date.

What would I do if I owned Ferrari?

I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.

I really really like this idea.

-Limited/no retro design implemented though I love the P4/5, I'd rather see totally new ideas that are as beautiful as the GTOs
-don't care what happens with the manual transmission but it should definitely stay as an option unless further development is need at which case drop it altogether.
-Make a street legal car under 1000kg and race it. In this case I don't care what it looks like, everything must be purpose built. This is a car I would want a 6 cyliner engine developed for
-Dominate P1, someone mentioned it would have to be diesel but isn't Aston entering because the Regs are evening up the gap? Not only should the car dominate but it will be a timeless beauty, legendary.
-GT1-like series that would pit something like the FXX against Porsche and any others that wish to turn their top end model into a fully developed race car with NO restrictions
-I would experiment with AWD but I think it would be with a rally car just because I hate the idea of adding more weight to the GTs. This is probably my only applicable case for turbo charging of some kind.
-As a couple people said, expand parts for out of production models
-Brand anything and everything in the world, starting with water. Take $$$ and do all the dreams above.

+1, manual the basis always, 1200kg (it's not 1960 anymore), only when diesel plays fairly, meh, no AWD (no rally - leave that to Lancia/Alfa), +1, nothing made in China.

Everything they make, excepting big 2+2s, should be competitive in some race series.

And: Out of F1 until Ron Dennis is dead seven years.

50% gate shift, 50% paddle shifters. I prefer three pedals on my cars :) Registered owners should be offered discounted tickets to ALMS and F1 races but must bring their cars and do a parade lap for the discounted admission. Pet peeve: INSTALL TUBI at the factory. Offer upgares/customization through the dealer network, retrofits on existing models such as Testarossa (turbos, carbon fiber, glass decks, brake upgrades, wheels --> Norwood-like conversions for those so predisposed) I modified my TR, was a bit of a PITA, would have used local dealer for one-stop shopping :)

    ¿Que?

Either way, the 21st century demands sacrifices to EPA, DOT, NHTSA, EU...

I'm thinking 300hp Ferrari "Elise" with human-class ingress/egress and not so much exposed Al, paint and cardboard.

Q: If you owned Ferrari what would you do?

    A: I would either...

    1. Try to remember when I died, or

    2. Wonder if I set the alarm because the dream is too long.

To each his own, I have no interest for producing track-only Ferraris, other than actual race cars.
