I'm waiting to see when the US comes out of this nose-dive, how long can they keep printing money before the whole thing collapses ? Some sad stories coming out of the US in relation to the coal-facing people getting sacked : http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/man-shoots-family-himself-after-job-lost/2009/01/28/1232818470116.html have never understood people taking the kids out when THEY can't handle the heat
Is this really how useless this Govt is??? Who next? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh, just call me Bob!
and what's the first thing to drop...................luxury cars, all those people with high residuals and high repayments.....well expect to see some very cheap exotics on the market where was that story about Ferrari selling 600 cars world wide in Oct 08 and in Nov........less than 100
I think you guys are forgetting that towards the end of little Johnnys rule, interest rates were going up faster than a caught-out concubines trousers. Another case of applying the brakes too hard when youre about to go uphill. Whilst for different reasons than during Keatings time, arent we now having a recession we had to have? Cant really blame the current Government for that as it is happening world-wide. All the growth we had under Johnny was mainly due to us being part of the global economy and enjoying the huge demand for our minerals that in turn stimulated the rest of our economy. Seems odd to complain about spending/printing more money that is designed to ameliorate unemployment and at the same time saying how sad it is that people are suffering because of unemployment. At the end of the day, most of the governments around the world are doing the same thing. Sure, there are several problems with spending/printing more money but has anyone got a better idea in the present economic state?
a better idea.........yup, lets get back to basics, it worked before and will work again...........too many forget the problems of the greedy 80's and the resultant economic downturn
I don't think anyone's got a clue Steve, like I said, just waiting for the US airliner to pull out of the dive so the media can report something different and encourage people rather than discourage as they are currently doing. How's Tassie going, got your recce done yet ? I think the SS Goober is doing a recce with you aren't they ?
Yes, a good idea BUT.....I don't know what a Government can do to bring it to fruition. Its just a case of feast followed by famine followed by feast and so on. Some people learn some don't. A lot of people, when they're on a roll can't stop and think of the probable consequences and hence the caca del toro we're in now.
I'm hoping the Chinese economy doesn't falter more, gunna be quite a while before the US picks up altitude. Yep, done all the recce and now doing a few last minute things with the car. Seeing that its only a 2 day event, I thought that the spare set of tyres I had would be ok but decided yesterday that economising on tyres is not a good idea.....turned out to be very false economy as now I am having a set airfreighted for fitting tomorrow. Not sure if the SS goober will be able to keep up
BTW Gleggy, I love my key charm. The ONLY part of my Ferrari that is titanium!!!! (goes nicely with my paper weight. ) sorry for the photo quality, I used KIAI's camera. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
God, i hope those who voted for zig-n-zag are now satisfied....[not] http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=OFp4rI-EvfY Ciao, M
LOVE NSW rail corp and their tax system. The "ridiculous" ticket system, under which RailCorp tells people who cannot buy a ticket at their origin to buy one at their destination - but allows transit officers to fine them on the journey anyway. One plucky, single mum fought back! http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2009/01/28/1232818532127.html 'plucky'? Too much pommy OHOS for me lately.
Compliance plate missing, no books and master key missing (new ECU's thanks). Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
On the other hand it has to acknowledged that $1m wasn't a bad investment, The Tour Down Under bike race promotion raised $3m for cancer charity. No bad thing. However, I'm not about to start endorsing the neo communist Governance the Australian voters have put in power. Higher and more taxes are on the way.....meanwhile Anna Bligh blows $11,000 on the State jet to go and see a footy match...yup socialism for all but the elite.
Some people, when they realise the car is about to be repoed, are very vindictive towards the finance company. Because it's always "their" fault!
Tyres arrived and fitted yesterday. Went out this morning over the odometer check course and recalibrated, stickers all on, scrutiny later today, ready to rock and roll. With this heat, will probably sacrifice a bit of HP and run the aircon. Should be a top weekend rally.
