Torque setting for cam covers nuts

    I took off my cam covers to have them powdercoated, they looked like sh##. When the 30K service was done they painted the covers (poorly I might add) and in cleaning the engine I chipped, really more like flaked some paint off, so time to freshen them up.

    I don't have a shop manual so does anyone know the torque setting of the nuts for the cam covers and the cam end covers?

    These should be 6mm studs.... 6.5 ft-lbs or 78 inch-lbs. If you have an inch-lb torque wrench, I'd use that for better accuracy.

    I have both but will use the inch-lbs wrench for this. Just dropped off the covers and in a week they will look like new!

    Rick after further reveiw I just want to make sure that the cam covers and the cam end covers use the same setting.
