Looking for some REAL world experience, between the LP640 vs. the std Murci. Are they that different from each other? Is the price difference worth it? (used market) that is, is the LP worth 100k more?

Just stunning. I never would have thought this would be Roy's opinion. It's a huge surprise! I don't know how to process this information... just when you think you know a guy, he springs something like this on you...

Hi guys, I've done 90,000 miles in my 2004 manual 6.2 Murcielago & 20,000 miles in my manual LP640 and drive both of them not daily but almost.
In a nutshell the LP640 is easier to drive which isnt always a good thing. The LP has far far better brakes than the Murcie (especially those built before 2005), and obviously is quicker - it just has more punch especially over 100mph. The main difference is without a doubt the handling. It feels more stable and 'tighter' on the road. In fact I drive a Gallardo occasionally and it feels as taut, whereas the 6.2 Murcie is a bit more unwieldly. I love the 6.2 because it takes a bit more out of you to drive - clutch, brakes etc but the LP640 is the one to use if you need to get somewhere with the minimum of fuss. Its just less taxing on the road. They are both great cars in their own way. Which do I really prefer? well the LP640 if I'm honest. Its pace is just incredible and its stopping power is amazing. Mine hasnt even got the ceramic brakes so goodness knows what they are like. Is it worth the difference in price? Personally I think so but the 6.2 is more rewarding in a way to drive. Its more 'old school' bit like a Diablo 6.0 litre. I'll never sell it. If only because in the current market it just wouldnt be worth it.

I've had an 03 Murci and now the LP640. I love them both. I just think that the LP is more refined. Of course the power difference is very noticable and with the carbon ceramic brakes, it's pretty amazing. Not to mention the cosmetic changes they have made to the car.
