I need some help guys. I have searched all the forums and seen some pictures but none of which answer my questions. I need to know where the proper placement is for using jack stands. And I Need pictures! I have been searching and googling for the jack points on my 355 and I cant get this straight. I am putting it up on 4 jack stands while I have the wheels powdercoated and I am able to find the rear lifting point but I need to know the proper placement of the jacks both front and back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hell, If somebody would just get the picture of the undercarriage and put dots on the proper areas for lifting and jacking that would completely solve this problem for me. Im throwing up a picture of the undercarriage. Thanks for your help, Havent put it up on all fours before and I dont want it messing myself or the car up.

Jack from the rear factory jack point. Then put a jack stand under the rear subframe (I like to use a spot a bit in front of the rear yellow arrows) then another under the front factory point. For that front spot, I made a wood pad that fit the jack stand, but whatever you have to get it to work. You can do about anything to the car like that.

With a two post lift, I had a heck of a time getting comfortable. Here is what I have been doing:

I use wood blocks at all four points, with long (about 1 foot) blocks in the front spanning as far along the metal ridge as I can, including the little "bend". In the rear I use the triangular connection point of the engine subframe/frame. I have done this too many times to count now without issue. I have a fairly narrow assymetry lift, and pad placement is pretty limited for me. For instance, if I put the car far enough forward to actually reach the front factory jack point, the arms will not move out wide enough to contact them. I cannot use the rear spots shown in the pic a few posts above because I must use a floor jack to get the car up a bit in order to get the arms under, and I use the rear jack point for this.

I have heard: do NOT use the 4 factory points, as the rears are close to center of mass, and the car can be tipped off the lift backward. There is a famous picture of a Lotus Elise dumped in this fashion at a franchise tire place.
