Looking for a 348 Challenge badge for the rear engine lid.

Can't find one anywhere. Not even Dan has one. :(

Any ideas where I can get one?

I'm trying to figure out why you'd want to change the badge when you have a rare GTB. I suppose it isn't as bad as the Civic guys putting "Type-R" badges on their cars, but I'm not seeing the point.

Me too, am not sure if I would put it on, but "I got to have one" syndrome as hit me hard. Someone in Los Angeles took a Challenge Stradale badge and chopped it, does not look bad, it just seems a little smaller then the original one. But somehow it works better visually.

1+ Why would you want it on your car if it is not a challenge car.

Having said that, in the US some of the dealers that ran the 348 ch's still have old stock. You might try calling some of those dealers.

I believe T.Rutlands has a couple of them in stock under part number 62928600. Ask for Lee if any further help needed.

Ya know the old saying ya snooz ya loose? I'm a loser. I just called 'em and the guy I spoke with said they don't have anymore. This is the story of my life with this car...A day late and a dollar short.:D

BTW, not very friendly people over there. I'll continue to patronize Daniel and the guys at GT Car Parts.:)

Hi Copterjon, I am not sure who you spoke with at Rutlands but it was definitely not me. Please PM me the sales persons name you spoke with if you know it as we strive to provide courteous and knowledgeable service. I can assure you that we do indeed have two new 62928600 badges in stock and on my desk at this time.

Maybe we can prevent the next round of Rutlands bashing by stating up front that these badges are very expensive. $549.22 each before your 10% Ferrari club of America discount.

I called up a few hours ago and was told they didn't have any, but the guy was okay with me. Must be my English accent. :D

besides, one of my 348 friends may swipe it when i'm not looking. :D

Thanks for the info anyway Lee

    Lee,
No heavy bashing intended. I can't remember the persons name I spoke with but you're right it was not you. I have ordered from you in the past and I feel I should negate the earlier comment I made by stating that I have been happy.
The person I spoke with was not terribly rude, just kinda short. Maybe he was trying to do 50 things at once or was just having a moment. He did say he has had a number of calls on this particular item.

Thanks for taking a personal intrest in this, it shows you guys are top notch and willing to take care of the Ferrari community.

    Now, about that price?:D

WOW, I want one, but at that price, its unbelievable. Come Rutlands, am willing to buy one but 10% discount? You have got to be kidding me. Can you do any better then that? Although your not a sponsor, and am sure its most likely due to Ricambi requesting a non compete (maybe) you have a great reputation here on FChat, so give your FChat customers an extra special price!!!!

I know what ya mean. I have been in this business a while and I was kinda shocked too ! While I am not easily price shocked I can only say that you guys would not believe me if I told you how high our cost was. Please keep in mind how many 348 challenge cars were made and thus the extreme rarity of this item.

For Fchaters from this thread we will extend our dealers price on this one item... 15% off = $466.83. That is the very best we can do without having our lights shut off.

    THANKS, Lee

Am in, calling them now. Just got off the phone with Lee, great guy and great service. Will be on my door steps in about 5 business days! THANK YOU T. Rutlands!
To tell you the truth, I am blown away that we (brotherhood) were able to locate this item, as Lee stated, it is extremely rare. So now the question is do I put it on the car, or do I just have it framed :)
