Someone on here was looking for a side louver to do their hybrid mod. Found this, but it is merely the "B" side louver. Didn't know if anyone could use it...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-308-328-GTB-QV-208-Left-Side-Window-Grille_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ140704QQihZ006QQitemZ160313669633QQtcZphoto

Then, in case you wanted to go the OTHER way and take your "B" into a "GTS", well, here you go - - can't get any easier OR TASTEFUL than this mod here....

What will they think of next?

Ferrari or not, the fake louver stickers are quite unbelievable.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but IMO these mods are all lacking.

For one thing, already mentioned, the B-pillar breaks the lines if left in body-colour.
Then there is the bump over the windscreen; Bert in the Netherlands removed his, but I am wondering how much beffeting he'll have with the top off.
Last but not least, the recess for the now exposed rear quarter windows is way too deep and makes the result look like a kit-car. A better solution would be to replace the louvres that were cut out with some plexi-glass and something to emulate the finisher on the GTB, in order to make the whole thing flush with the body. It'll add some rigidity to the whole thing as well, if needed.

    Just my 2 cts!

Sure, they'll sell plenty - if they fit Japanese cars. Can't see very many people putting them on their 355s.

F308Jack, I agree with every one of the points you made.

You corrected me before I corrected myself! (Perhaps we're married?) Yes, you're right on that, and I came to my senses moments later. Thanks for the quick catch. Now that we've confused half of F-chat, please carry on...

I'm pining for a car like that, woodn't you? With a little sprucing up, one could branch out and leaf the others behind. Acorny line, but thistle lighten up your day!

At the moment I think having the top painted is all that looks good (and all I believe will be done to my 328 in respect to the hybrid mods)--the louvers look better uncut to me, and painting the pillars is in a similar league as the louver stickers.

That is exactly what I was thinking! I tried something with aluminium straight angle strips with the intent of glueing a plexi window to the inside but then when you look through you still see the original smaller glass window with all the unfinished rubber trim. The original glass and steel surround would have to be removed and cleaned up and finished and the new louvre piece with plexi should be installed waterproof. A lot of extra work so for the moment I decided against it.

I had the guys at Pininfarina do this during their espresso break while they worked on the the P4/5. Looks just like a coupe now! ;)

That sounds like a lot of extra work to me. If I had the original top (which I do not, my car came with the painted top), I could change my car back to original in about 10 minutes. From 10 feet the louvers look fine, and I don't notice them at all when I walk by the car every day in the garage. Cutting the louvers also increases your rear visibility by a large margin, adding a layer of plexiglass would just distort the view.

    What he said.

The point is not making a GTB replica, but something that looks better from a few feet away (which is the normal viewing distance on the road and in shows).
