Aloha....this may have been John's last post........helpful as ever.....he typed "GT-40" instead of WD-40......I thought that was kind of strange......I'm SURE he is resting in peace.....what a full and wonderful life he led...

GT-40 has worked for me on all kinds of outdoor electricals and electronics. I use it on pool heaters and pumps. The Dino is outside so condensation is a problem. I spray all push-on connectors and multi-pin connectors. Door connectors get wash water too and spraying them keeps windows running at full speed. WD-40 seems to last longer than electronic contact cleaner and is available everywhere. Good stuff.

One of the kindest and most sincere gentlemen that I've ever come across.

We had dinner in November on Stearn's wharf and went to a seafood restaurant where he ordered a Pastrami sandwich. Iconoclast, entrepreneur, and family man with firm values. They don't make them like Dinos any more.

My condolences on the family loss. Here are a few photos from our trip to Avila Beach and when Candi and he attended Bella Italia.

If you see a cloud shaped like a Dino you know who's driving.

    RIP.

    Andy,
Please give our condolences to Candi and John’s entire family. On our last trip to California my wife and I stayed in Santa Barbara for a few days and met John and Candi for a drink on the wharf. John graciously gave us a tour of his wonderful car. All eyes were on his Dino as it arrived and left. Although his regular posts on this forum, all filled with insight and knowledge, will be greatly missed, his presence will always be felt here.

"John doit savoir. Il va me dire comment faire...".

I did not know John personally since we were separated by thousands of kilometers and an ocean. However, upon hearing of his passing through this forum, I was deeply saddened. John's insight has been an immesurable help in my own restoration of my Dino. I held his knowledge with great esteem and respect...to the point that whenever I had a question I said to myself: "John surely must have discussed this at some time". More often than not...John had the answer. It was as if his posts were directly speaking to me.

I took great pleasure in reading his posts and sagas. Often, they would make me smile since his adventures and anecdotes were such that all car collectors could easily relate to them.

Joh was very passionate and subsequently, very facinating and inspired our own passion.

I truly would have loved to make his aquaintance. A friendship would, without a doubt, have budded.

My heartfelt and sincerest condolences to his family during this painful moment.

Can you imagine ? - being in that cloud like room - with Enzo, Carlo, John C. and the many others who embraced, both past and present, the "concept & lifestyle" of DINO.

RIP John - you are now, as you have always been, embraced and cradled by those who know and love you.

    Respectfully,

    Hank

I will miss John greatly, he was always helpful and treated my Dino as if it was every bit as nice as his even with the different name plate. I know my Dino is running better because of his suggestions when I had distributor problems. He was amazing with these cars and could diagnose almost anything. I was looking forward to taking him for more drives in both my Dino and of course his, glad we took his car out last time.

    RIP John !!!
