Man, there is nothing better in life. Sunday morning, everyone is still asleep, I have my starbucks, still in pj's watching all the utube videos of random 355's scream it out. And on top of that it is my birthday. As the ole saying goes, "it does not get any better than this". Who the hell needs porn when there is this stuff?!?

It was 175 MPH on my speedo. I do know the speedos can be off a certain percentage. I was advised by a knowledgable source that Lambo speedos can be off about 20% at times, but the Ferrari speedos are more accurate. Plus, the car I was following a modded Lotus Esprit V8 TT also verified the same speed before we backed off.

    Gosh I miss that car!

It would eat the 355 for breakfast! Talk about speed! Had my car to top speed, ran out of gear!

If it had a sixth gear she'd be at 200 with the "red ecu" no problem

Don't worry Ian - she found a good home :D

And, yes, she still eats rockets for breakfast. Here she is walking on my E55 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYRQbvwaAW4

Keep in mind, the E is no slouch. A few months ago, it took the record for a Stage 1 in the quarter at 11.41 @ 120 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTR-tjCfgKI

But how did you keep your trans together? I have already replaced my crown gear, 2nd gear and a drive shaft. I even added the Lotus LSD.....But when it works it is wicked fast!

Never had a single issue. Of course I never treated it like a dragster, that is the key ;)

Never matted the gas unless in 2nd gear.....

If you aren’t driving a fast car fast you are going slow ;)

Kudos to you for having the restraint. At some point I will learn. At least I am getting really good at rebuilding the transmission!

I mean this as kind as possible, but I drive every car much faster than many would ever dare. I top out everything I own at least once.

I knew that modded Esprits are tough on the UN1 so thats the only reason I didn't launch hard (restraint) ;)

This license plate says it all :) :)

If your car is very "floaty" in a straight line I would have the Toe in looked at.

    +1......:D

Attempted to hit 180+ on the speedo (realistic 170?) but ran out of room....will report back after another attempt.

Have seen triple digits many times and is always stable and planted, no floatiness at all. Really feels planted at 150+..:D

The pictures in this video that were looking at traffic remind me of when I had just bought a BMW 328 and was trying to get past the speed limiter. I was going along at 132 mph, messing with the cruise control (which I had been told could get past the limiter) when I came upon a Winnebago in the right lane leading about 10 cars - and the left lane was empty. Of course, I did the obvious - get past them as quick as possible (132 mph), but I never did figure out how to get past the limiter :-((((((
