Nooooo. I cant believe you would think such a thing..... That POS has got to go, never could read the tach on the track, shifted by the shift light! I am going to donate it to David as a wall decoration for the garage or for use in the hot rod Mondial so he has full data acquisition capabilities when it really matters.
A pic of the 355 hoses within the cooling system, may help to see it firsthand. Pic taken from the Ricambi site....The bleed hoses that get clogged inside are #6 and #18, I believe.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Why would you put on stock hoses again if it seems that it is a know problem for these hoses to deteriorate and get clogged? SFS makes a silicone kit for the 355 http://www.siliconhose.com/content.asp?inc=product&catalog=CKIT128 The 355 kit has 8 hoses and costs £126 GBP. If the kit doesn't have the particular expansion tank hoses I'm sure that they can make them or match them up.
Wasn't saying to buy stock hoses again, just pointing out which hoses are the potential problem ones. I think I am going to buy this kit and utilize it on my next major. Maybe go for the YELLOW color!!!
Oh I know you weren't saying to buy stock hoses, I was just making a point. Why replace a part that is known to cause problems with another part that will just do the same thing eventually? That's all. Nothing against you.
You got it!! Do you or anyone have any experience with that particular hose company? They look great, just want to make sure the quality is great also...
The bleed hoses are (#6), it goes to the upper crossover tube and (#8), it goes to the water pump housing...
Was anyone able to source these two small hoses in silicone? Would like to buy replacement ones to install soon....
What Dave is offering is the best material available plus the clamps are the right kind and will last forever without damaging those hoses. A must upgrade whether you are going to be a long term owner or plan to resale later......neither you or your future owner will have to worry about this problem reoccuring...this is money well spent and you should get a full return on resale.
