Very Nice! I like the statement he said about the late 355's are worth more then early F360's? Is this really true? Ciao, SRR
Yea most of us saw it on a thread that i posted 3 weeks ago. Caused a bit of bother with them as well. I have not given that TV show the time of day since. So they have had there 15 minutes with me http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=227540
I would have said full of accurate statements: Modern day classic 355 a significant mark in Ferrari's history First road car with 5 valves/cylinder "revs like you wouldn't believe" engineering masterpiece Great styling Wonderful sound "best car i've ever driven" fantastic power for 3.5 litre Beautiful, precise gearbox Beautiful interior Precise steering Drive it hard and it will do 5 mile to the gallon most "usable" ferrari in years Did you notice the smile on the guy? He was really enjoying the driving experience.
Yup. I paid more for my car than a number of early 360's for sale here in the UK. There are Spiders for sale here in the UK over £50,000 where you can pick up 360's for around £38,000.
You have to admit it that the 355 is one heck of a car! I would have bought one except for this 348SS that caught my eye for a lot less money. Either one is cool. When 355's get down to 348 money, maybe there's one in my future (like a nero '95 355 GTB). Nah, ain't gonna happen.
great video deff adding it to my vault!! thanks for posting! must have slipped past my eyes on the original post
Yeah, he does make the F355 look positively toy like! Love the 355, most definately a future classic, my favorite modern Ferrari!!
Mitsubishi were the first to market an engine with five valves per cylinder, with the 548 cc 3G81 engine in their Minica Dangan ZZ kei car in 1989. Yamaha introduced the 5-valve DOHC four cylinder FZ750 in 1984. Most usable Ferrari is probably 550 and modena. Nice video. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-valve
Interesting read on the Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ, while first to produce a 5 valve per cylinder engine in a MICRO Car. Ferrari was the First to introduce in a TRUE Performance Sports Car, that being the F355 with 380hp. I wonder why Mitsubishi never produced the 5V engine in any mid size sports cars like the 1989 Eclipse or 3000GT? The 3000GT VR4 was a true performere aside for being a very heavy car which pretty much killed itself off. Still credit goes to Mitsubishi. Heck I still remember when I purchased my 89 Eclipse ES! The GSX Turbo was out of my league!! Ciao, Stanislaus
Remember that an imperial gallon is bigger than a US-one. 1.6km per imp. gallon.... that's not a lot. My username holds true My dream car - GTS or GTB. Other cars just don't look and sound as good.
That was supposed to be 8km per imperial gallon. Not 1.6km per gallon as I wrote - is it possible to edit posts? 5 miles per imp. gallon is about 1.8 km per liter!
Here is another 355 tribute video. I'm sure it's been posted before but if not enjoy! I just watched it 5 times in a row, literally. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0OusN1y1Yc I am absolutely hooked.
