    ( thanks to Fmax.
He offers the opportunity to say that the italian F official dealers have to respect the same F rules of all the other F Dealers in other
    Country.
And that to be honest is a personal attitude.....i think better not to
    generalize. )

Coming back to thread we all know that 360 is the best sold car of Ferrari with more than 15.000
    cars.
Here the prices of 360 and 355 decrease regularly any months and will go down regularly
till the arrival of a new model.
When the prices will go down a lot.
If some guys wishes to make an investment I suggest to buy NOW
3 328 with the money of a good and fresh 360 or spider and next year he shall change 2 328gts
    with the same good 360 Modena...winning a 328gts !!!
is there somebody that wish to bet a bear with me ?
    ciao
    Alex

Good post, that made me laugh. It might take a little more than a year but your point is true. And I would bet a beer drinking bear!

+1...and still dropping. Anyone bold enough to answer the OP's original question of exactly "how low"?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-Modena-Tubi-30K-SERVICE-DONE-US-CAR_W0QQitemZ250211400395QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item250211400395

IMO...in 2 years, nice 328's will be commanding same/more than early 360's. Make no mistake, I'm a "wanna be" 360 owner. But, it's my belief, I'm making money by waiting. (Tr's, 328's, stablized, or going up, early 360's will pass them on the way down. (I've already got one late model sports car, I cannot afford another depreciating asset, which 360's still appear to be, to my eye, fwiw).

I think you're right, but apart from not getting killed by depreciation I just buy whatever my favorite car is. I already passed on an early 360 Modena and kept the 328, but part of that is just the older Ferrari aesthetics/feel -- not a financial decision. If both cars hit $80K -- which I think is where they will cross -- they're still very different machines. That said, they'd both be bargains for that money.

This is an interesting thread, but as someone who works with researchers for a living I think we need data from people other than exotic car dealers ("360s are defying gravity!"), current 360 owners ("Values are firm!") and guys who are shopping ("OMG can you believe values are in the toilet!")

It reminds me of all these realtor interviews now ("The Florida market is stable and we're seeing good activity!") :)

(OT....I agree they are very different machines. Which is a problem for those of us (in the balcony seats) who wants one of each for precisely that reason. Like you Jon, all things being equal (prices included), I'd keep my 328 over a 360. I like it :) )

early 360's will bottom in the $fifties, imo. Too many of 'em. Just a 'late model car", and newer models/technology will make this era car (electonics) a "bottom feeder" (ie, entry level) car, imo. So, we may disagree here.

    :)

Bullfighter....as someone that works with researchers, you know that you must have the facts inorder to make conclusions..I am here telling you in public forum that the wholesale networks based on there research of the data in there network the asking prices are up in the wholesale, and tht could only mean one thing regardless of thoughts and IMO...Well I guess it could mean the late 80's all over again...? hmmm???

Here is my prediction for the next 6 months...The 360's advertised for sale will still be advertised for sale, of course to draw in the leads (many in this thread have allready seen this, I est. somewhare around 125 cars that have been sold that are still listed for sale in all the normal source's) The asking prices will remain up in the wholesale, and this topic will still be going on...

oh..I have one question: How many 360's ware brought to the uS during production? 40% or more? 13,000 cars ware built right? So ware there like 866 per year to the US per year? With like Gallardo for example they built 5500 cars but only 2,200 cars are in the US..lol there more G cars advertised for sale then ware evn brought to the US :)

I was doing a search on some of the old topics on pricing the 360 and stumbled on this one. It was interesting reading all the speculation from a year ago. I guessed that they would be down 15% a year out. Looks like was off a bit. ;)

2005 F430 spider (not a 360) Red/tan 5K miles just sold the other day buy it now on ebay for $160K. This is a spider, not a coupe, and had no accident damage or paint work. I know the buyer and he had a PPI done and was a clean car. I am looking forward to this spring.

Too many people at the Manheim auctions are buying F-cars for personal use and are overpaying for them, I've considered buying a few off eBay and taking them to Manheim but lack the capital.

Not so. Normally you would want to sound information and substance behind your business. But in Aug I decided to pull the plug on what I thought
was an unusual run on Porsche 911 997 GT3 prices. I had nothing to base my conclusion on but a hunch. I sold my car ($125K MSRP) to my Porsche (and other
fine vehicle) dealer for $117K. The Dealer just sold the car for 96. All cars are tanking and that was just a hunch. I also has the hunch to divest myself of all stock holding. Where all this came from I dont know.
But usually Chris your statement is true.

96k for a GT3 is now full full retail, doubt its happening, it sucks to be right late in the game, I am even more late in the game, damn. SHould have sold earlier, however, it will soon be the time to buy again soon, maybe next winter things will bottom?

I have been watching this thread, and as a guy who has bought 127 cars in the last 10 years (some kept less than 100 miles), I can not even imagine how much money I have lost. With Ferrari's there seem to be 3 types of buyers, the ones that have to have the newest car (even if the one they already have has 500 miles after 5 years), to those buyers 360's are yesterdays news, then there are the buyers who like the older lighter and to them better looking cars, 360's have no use for them. Then there are the buyers like many on this thread, looking for there first Ferrari, seeing that the prices have come down (in some cases less than a Porsche TT), bt I think there will never be enough of these type of buyers to at up the supply, and though the cars ay be cheap, parts are not, and they are not sold at you loca NAPA store. As I said in the first line of this post I've lost a lt of money on cars in just the last 10 years, but I had a hell f a god time with the cars I had, would I change anything, no way. Go enjoy what you want now, remember if use se the logic I'll wait for a better deal, you'll be waiting the rest of your life. Time to go out for my morning drive, the smile that brings me is priceless.
