The weather here has been not too bad so tomorrow the boxer comes out for a spin. Fresh fuel and a good run is much needed. pics to follow, we still have snow banks but the roads are dry and clear.

Just got back from a spin, I think I put it away the end of October so its been a while. I idled it for a while, got he oil temp up before the drive. Temps up here today are around -5C but the sun is shining and the roads are dry and I couldn't wait any longer. The car ran well, the heater worked great and it was therapeutic for sure! I only had it out for around 30 mins but that was enough to clean her out, make sure the tires are round and look for any new leaks lol. I would have taken the 308 out too but its insurance doesnt cover road use whereas the boxer is year round. The worst thing that happened on the joy ride was what you see on the left fender heel, I try to deal with that later :)

    What a cool car.

Nice to see the Boxer out and about Paul - your lucky with those roads they look really dry. Started mine up and got them out of the garage but thats as far as they got - the roads are still wet and salty here. Probably got to wait at least another month or I'll spend a month cleaning. Nice pics. Actually I've just noticed that your running nearly 1/2 on the fuel gauge! Your lucky to have cheap petrol also!

Thanks, I agree the proportions are great on the boxer.

Yes just between a 1/4 and a 1/2 for $25 cdn. I just put some fresh fuel in it before I took the shot. The lane I was in was clear of sand and I was careful where I drove with it. No harm done, im sure the car needed the run more than I did.

You gotta admit NEWMAN, it's pretty incredible. Provided you missed the truck, I want to know how you were doing 320kph with zero oil pressure. Could be a problem.

Nothing like a period correct set of driving shoes to really bring out the max in a Boxer... and the ladies dig them too.

...and at 0 bar oil pressure! What a car!

Edit: Replied to the wrong post then discovered that AHudson had already spotted the 0 bar thing. Just got back from a week vacation in the Caymans so I think I'm still off.

Last week got to drive the Boxer again.
First time after the gear box broke down and the new brake parts fitted.
She ran just fine and it was a good test run for the track day on 1 of april on Zandvoort circuit.
The foto's are from the internet where the were posted by sombody seeing me drive om the dutch highway.
It was a great drive again!!!!
