I think I found a set of Strad wheels... Do you have to use Titanium Lugs nuts or will the ones off my 430 wheels work? If I have to use them, does anyone have a set lying around.. The buddy deal from Tonkin is over a grand... Thanks
I am in same position. Standard lugs work but the titanium ones looks great. sometimes they are available on ebay.....
You can also buy Ti lug bolts directly from the company who produces them for Ferrari. They will just have a T70 torx head on them instead of a standard hex like on the CS, etc. (I personally think the T70 looks better myself). I have them on my car. They are made by this company in Italy: http://www.poggipolini.it/ Autozone sells a nice T-70 torx socket for about $4 I'll attach some pics and info Ray Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ray, I love the way those look! How do I order them? Is there a part number I need to arm myself with? What did shipping cost from the motherland?
I bought them a few years ago from a guy who imported a number of sets directly from the company and sold them on ebay. As I recall, he imported 5 or 6 sets. He marked up the sets he sold just enough so that the total profits covered the set he kept for himself (thus he got his set for free). Before I purchased the ebay set, I contacted the company directly (this was near the end of August 2006). I spoke with someone from the company and they quoted me $665 dollars, plus $135 for shipping (so about $800 USD all in). However, this took into account the exchange rate of the day (between the dollar and the Euro). The price quoted in Euros was $520 Euros for the lug bolts and $105 Euros for the S&H via Fedex to the US). Also, keep in mind that the price of Titanium has since gone up. I ended up buying the set off ebay for $500 as I recall. I then sold the stock chrome bolts for $200. So my net/net cost of the Titanium bolts was about $300 or so. If you went to buy them in today's market, I bet you'd be looking at $1000 or $1500 or more (although I don't follow the price of Titanium). If you contact the company, it would be interesting to hear what they quote you and what the price comes out to be in USD. Ray
I've just sent an email to the manufacturer and will report back as soon as. I also bought two sets of titanium wheel centres from them, one set which I am selling if anyone is interested (my friend let me down ). I have just tried to find the link to my ad in the FerrariAds section but it's not there, I'll relist and link ASAP.
Sorry. I read your post incorrectly. Bolts pic above, wheel centres pic to follow. I did have an ad but it's disappeared.

I'm up for a set too. I haven't received a reply from the manufacturer yet, as soon as I do, I'll post up their response.
+1 I like the yellow centers. I have seen the Ti ones, but I can't part with the yellow factory centers Ray
If you guys do buy the Titanium lug bolts, be sure you use high temp copper anti-seize when you install them Ray
I too like the yellow centre's but replacing them on a regular basis because the plastic badge part keeps coming away from the mount, p!sses me off! Water and dirt ingress makes them look shabby (although they are quite cheap to replace ). The Ti ones look really classy (of course I'm gonna' say that, I have a spare set sitting in the corner gathering dust!).
Happily, the new ones are da' bomb. 226245. No fade, better yellow coloring, better horse resolution, slimmer appearance.
