A am gearing up to get together a bunch of my Viper guys again (in 2006 we had almost 20 Vipers) for a caravan to a charity car show in the spring. I remember the last time we did this there were also quite a few Ferrari and Lambo owners that were at the show.

This is a great way to dust of our cars after a long winter sleep, get some early spring seat time and just enjoy a car show for a good cause.

I have no involvement with the show but if I am going I might as well help promote it so I have some other cars to look/cruise with. (Cincy is seriously lacking and get togethers for exotic and other high end sports cars)

Here is a link to the show.

    http://www.lasallehs.net/student_life/carshow.htm

In years past we all met in Northern Cincy and then drove together to the show. This provided a lot more fun than just everyone driving separate.

So if anyone is interested...all are welcome.

I also have a thread running at the VCA site so anyone can check there as well.

Thanks in advance and more info to follow!

I usually attend this as well. I will most likely be in town that weekend, so I will bring my Gallardo Spyder. I will also ping a few others when we get closer to see who else may want to come along.

I might have a Ferrari by then, and the weather should be decent. Hmmm...

You need to have a talk with the poster creator. The Honda symbol is bigger than the Lambo badge :O

Lets see. I left off last year with a yearning for something vintage... such as an early La Salle or Citroen, but I'm not sure they are worth the trouble.

I might buy another 348 from a fellow F-Chatter. No more Spiders for me, though. Something about going top speed with no roof (or roll bars) makes me turn white...

All kinds. The show has everything from imports to exotics to muscle cars.

The import crowd is set up in the back of the lot while the muscle cars and exotics are in the front.

The show is nothing spectacular but for me its just a good excuse to do something early in the season with like minded enthusiasts. This get together can also be a catalyst for other events such as a poker run or group runs to interesting places.

I don't know about anyone else in the area but the car scene in Cincy is lame. Well unless your an import/teen street racer kinda guy or part of the old fart crowd in classic cars putting around the cruise in scene week after week. *Yawn*

It is kinda lame at times, but once the nicer weather hits, theres usually at least 1-2 "exotic" get togethers per month. They aren't always in Cincy though, sometimes Columbus, Indy, etc. Theres usually a group that will get together in Cincy and head up to those events.

Sounds like a nice crowd...might have to check it out. I'd really be interested in any that come to Columbus.

I would enjoy going to some of those events. Please put me on the list if the group is looking for more folks.

I also just took a look at your web site. Great pictures!

Ill see if any of my buddies have any interest in joining. My old roommate from Indy might be interested in bringing his 96 GTS down if he still has it then. Who knows, we'll see.

You've just described the nation outside of L.A. and Miami. Don't get me wrong, I like KY but I miss going on drives with 20 other Ferraris every weekend & seeing Jay Leno show up randomly with one of his obscure machines :(

It would be cool to create a gathering place where people can go on a Saturday AM (or whenever...just throwing out ideas)(maybe early so people can go and not be hassled with other commitments like kids sports, working around the house, etc etc), park their rides, eat a good breakfast or have a cup of coffee, casually talk or network with others and then if they wanted to take a ride somewhere as a group, they could. Or if not, they hang out for a bit then take off.

Either way it would be nice to know that if you were in the mood to do such a thing you would always know there was a place to go where there is always something going on.

Its kinda like the cruise in on Friday nights in Milford. It's mostly classic muscle and imports but if you wanted to go see some cars and converse with other car guys...its always busy and usually filled with 200++ cars. It's just you don't see much in the way of exotics and I get bored with it after 1-2 times.

I'm open to new ideas :)

Lexington seems to be the "middle ground" between Cinci and Louisville. It would be one long drive for all, but perhaps we could get the local F40 to come out of it's cave ;) And Lexington has some great backroads just south of town... Hehehehe!

    Thanks !

I doubt there would be enough "exotics" in the area for a "Cars & Coffee" type show that they have out in Cali. Theres always one way to find out though, post a location and see who shows up. I've been to the Milford cruise more then enough times , and it does get old after awhile , but there are some unique cars up there at times . PM sent .

I'm about the same distance from Cincy & Lexington, so I'm up for either. This is my first full summer of Viper ownership, I must drive :)

Some guys over on lambo power have been talking about trying to do a cars and coffee in columbus. I mentioned that it couldnt be as early as the ones they ahve in SoCal because people would need to drive from the other cities.

The Cincy car show should be a go. I hought I saw an update on the Viper forums today about it. The guy who posted the details is getting a special section reserved or something like that.

I'd like to set a date, but this weather is so unpredictable. Last weekend I was hoping to get some driving in... was 50 degrees in the morning but strong winds, then rain... ice... snow. :(
