I need tires, so am thinking about a wheel and tire package for my car, I currently have aftermarket 18" wheels but am thinking about 19". What do you guys think, for a 348 are 19" a bit too much? Is it too much "bling"? And no were not talking about chrome wheels or getho "spinners" :)

Personally, I think 19" wheels are too big for that model. I would say 18" would be perfect.

I am running 19's on my 355 and it wears them perfectly IMO. If I had a 348 the first thing I would do is change the rims to 19".

I am certain there are a few members here that own 348's on 19's, hopefully they will stop by with their thoughts.

I like the look of 18s. 19s generally look odd on the car, like if you put 18s on a Mondial - reaslly weird with that body style.

I would think 19" is not worth it - it is going to compromise the ride and with the extra weight is going to marginally affect the performance. Additionally it will make the brakes look small.

I've got 19 and 20s on my car: 255/19 tires and 325/20. No rubbing. Perfect fit. My rear wheel weighs just 24.4 pounds and it's a 20 x 11.5! My F355 rides smoother, stops on a dime and handles unbelievably! She also looks great. You decide.

Thats what I was thinking, the break disk would look a bit small with 19" wheels. Ok thanks for the input and your thoughts on this, now am going shopping for a new set of 18" rims!

Go with 18's on the 348. 19's look ok on other models, but too big on the 348 IMHO.

You can get away with the larger wheels on the 355 because it has power steering. The 348 does not. If you go up to the 18" wheels on the 348, you'll be fine steering wise so long as the 18's weigh less than the 17" wheels that you are replacing.

That is going to be my upgrade criteria too. The new wheel/tire combo must be lighter or at worst the same weight as the current 17" boat anchors.
