DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

Anything else good at the show? I was going to go Friday maybe. Any good concept cars or surprises? The year they had the chromalusion Panoz GTR-1 was the only year I was really, really surprised at the show. Then again, the Chrysler PT Spyder sports car concept showed up at one about 3 or 4 years ago, and that was surprising...

 

When they had a WHAT?! Pictures of that would be much appreciated Please tell me they're bringing the Panoz again sometime soon.

okay, catching up..... Yesterday there were a pair of Aston somethingorothers, both roadsters, one white with black wheels and black top, the other a dark champagne with black top, on Irving Blvd around Inwood, before lunchtime. Then the same red Maser Cambio in Rowlett, and a black Viper with shaved emblems and HUGE, shiny HRE's at the Tom Thumb plaza at 6 and Dalrock. Today, at Whole Foods on Greenville at 1:00, a stunning black Maser QP with an equally stunning blonde woman behind the wheel.....

BTW, I was thinking of going to the Dallas show tomorrow. Thanks for the spoiler! I was really looking forward to seing a GT, ewr California, in person...Mabey I will find something else......

 

Last night during rush hour, spotted a hennessy gt1000 north bound on Custer in Plano. Not bad, not bad at all.

 

Today, about 5:30 PM, Armstrong & Lorraine in Highland Park, Red/Black Deusenberg boat-tail Speedster, gray haired middle-aged guy driving.

License: 33DUSE.

Beautiful, but suspected replicar.

Besides huge exhaust discharges from engine cowl, had four small Ferrari-style chrome exhaust tips, straight-cut like you'd see on a late-50's road car, peeking out from below rear bumper.

 

It was 2003, the same year they had the Enzo and Cadillac Cien concept car. I can't find my pics--they're on a different computer, but here are two pics of the exact same car as what was there.

You aren't missing out on not seeing my personal pics... the car was in such a high traffic area, that I never got any great shots of it... which is disappointing... since it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. >_<

Yellow Maserati Gran Turismo driven by an older women tonight on Ridge Road. Followed her and got a nice smile from her as she turned onto Yellow Jacket. Man, that yellow just stands out so much, even at night.

 

Ken is out in his Gallardo Spider, turned towards Fred's off of 7th. Funny thing, didn't go to Fred's, he turned West through the condo/apartment construction and a huge dust cloud - top down. I chuckled all the way to Lancaster at what that black interior must look like now.

 

FTW sitings

1) dark blue Mondial coupe southbound on Bryant-Irvin by FW Country Day School today around 11:15
2) silver Gallardo coupe eastbound on I-30 between Camp Bowie and Hulen also today around 11:20
3) black Lotus Elise with gold pinstriping/trim (looked like a JPS paint job) yesterday afternoon on Bryant-Irvin at Overton Ridge head north

 

Silver 456 turning into MSR around 10:15am this morning.. and a dozen or so Solstices in a caravan past my work this afternoon.. nothing exotic about them, but seeing a dozen together has to be rather rare (besides sitting unsold at a Ponty dealer).

 

White maser QP at the Adolphous around lunch.

 

That makes me cry because I missed it. Especially knowing that nobody will probably ever see that car again

 

She used to be in the same building with me in the early-late 90's, owned a super-highend floral catering business. She's got to be at least 85 now, and a very nice, refined lady. Good to know she still has the maser...I always thought it was a neat choice for someone her age.

 

I followed an electric blue gallardo late last night from Northpark mall, all the way to the guys house and ended up playing poker with the owner and his friends into the wee hours of the night.....

Also spotted a black Diablo at Alpha/Tollway at noon today.

 

R8 - White with Carbon blades (looks better than I expected), exiting Chapel Hill shopping center. I think it may be the first I've seen in the wild, not around the dealership.

 

i saw a 1999 yellow 355 convertable for sale front of lewisville mitsobishi dealer ship on saturday.

 

Spotted a red Ferrari 550 or 575, I believe, parked facing south on Hillcrest next to a rec center fields at Campbell in far north Dallas this afternoon shortly past 2 o'clock this afternoon.

 

Spotted 599GTB today ( Lemmon and Inwood ) ... didn't put 2+2 together until after "He" left, that it was a fellow F-Chatter... Doh!

Question is, did you like the CF Rear wing on the GT3? How did the test drive go....

Yesterday, Sunday afternoon, I was walking into Walgreen's on the corner of McKinney Ave and Lemmon, when a flatbed trailer drove by, N. on McKinney, with a Black Porsche Carrera GT on it! I don't know if it was in-transit or in distress, but it definitely caught my attention! Great looking car even on the trailer.

Also saw a nice red 430 coupe this morning at the Starbucks on OakLawn, across from Eatzi's.

 

Red Pantera heading South on I-35 around Walnut Hill just after 11 am.
