I hope this question doesn't fall too far into the stupid question category: I should get around to firing up my baby tonight after finishing its 30k. I'd like to flush the cooling system with water. Is there any problem with filling the system with water, running the car for 10 minutes then replacing with coolant mixture?

Hi Troy - My knowledgeable 328 owner friend Steve says that's the way he does it... mostly to correct any leaks before wasting good anti-freeze and making a sticky mess. So I think I'll do that too.

Exactly! Thanks again Rick. Hopefully she fires up with no issues. :) I am going to keep all the under-panels and bonnet off until til its running with no oil, fuel and antifreeze leaks.

That's the way I did my coolant change - only difference was flushing twice with distilled water @ 10-15 minutes each to make sure it was clean. Good luck with firing that engine up Troy!!!

No problems in doing that Troy!! :):)

Fill with water, run it for as long as you like. Then drain it and refill with coolant. :):)

Good luck with firing the old girl up. :D:D
