Like I said right place at the right time...... Guys 430 came in and had to unload the 360 We actually asked the first sales guy on the scene and he said it was priced somewhere between 95-99k We then went downstairs to check out the owners private collection and a sales guy my B-I-L knows came down........we then asked him about the 360. He went upstairs then came back down about 10 minutes later and said I could have it for 75k....... Needless to say I countered and got it for a few k less than that. Not to mention it was Christmas eve......
Hell Yeah...... I kept telling myself the deal was going to fall through. I thought that FoA wouldnt be able to get the guy financed for his 430 or something like that. But the deal went through and the 360 was delivered.
For what to miss out on the one you really want? So what your saying is if 360's break 70k you'll jump on one even if it doesnt meet the criteria of the 360 your looking at at the moment that is obviously priced a little higher Doesnt make sense to me.
If you can afford it now and you see the car of your dreams, DON'T wait, BUY it . As previously discussed, usually a cheap Ferrari = high maintenance and an uncared for car. Spend a little more now and save in the long run. Hell, I paid the going rate (plus a little more) for a good 360 nearly two years ago and haven't had to pay out a single penny/cent for anything other than routine servicing .
The only correlation between price and post sale maintenance and repair is that one and the other go together with the inexperienced and poorly counseled Buyer (dropping luck out of the equation). The only correlation between price and post sale maintenance and repair is a well informed and properly counseled Buyer ( again, dropping luck out of the equation).
iI understand what your saying, but I think my situation was an extreme. Again my B-I-L knew the owner of FoA and is also a good customer. Again to save 10k and not get your specific vehicle choice doesnt make sense to me. I happed to be looking for a red/tan spider with daytonas......... If the car at FoA wasnt that I wouldnt have bought it even if it was 65k Just my 0.02 worth
Thats true But you will pay a premium for a fully serviced no stories 360. Now add in the equation of finding the specific car you want with perfect records..............if you've found that car already why wouldnt you buy it?? To wait 3-4 months to get it for 3-5k cheaper if its still available. It doesnt make sense..........So go buy your 360 and enjoy life.
Wow, very nice. For a no stories car I'm a cash buyer at that price (I guess that line has already formed). Feel free to PM with leads.
It's your money to toss around as you please. Not all of what you posted above is current with my experience.
James sums things up nicely. Part of the overall ownership experience, for people who think rather than react when spending nearly or > $100K, is knowing you did not overpay for your zealousness. Even my most zealous and wealthy clients have always commented about the monies spent in their recollection of ownership. What I find puzzling is how ppl who will buy a home for $250K and a Ferrari for $250K, work the numbers on the first and drool bucket and throw money away on the second. Yet they know that the F is going to be a money sieve and you would logically think they would do their damnedest to lessen the blow.
I dont toss money around thank you very much. And do not make further insinuations about me.....you DONT know me!! Now go buy yourself a ferrari already.........the suspense is killing me.
I'll assume Exotic missed my question, but it sounded like you answered it for me. He doesn't own one (yet)? I understand the mindset as I was a prospective purchaser a couple months ago. And am an owner now. I feel I got a "deal", but probably not the absolute lowest price I could have found. I did however get a car that I was really excited about owning. Right options, colors, pedigree, etc. I could have waited a couple more mos, and might have gotten a better price, but hind sight is always 20/20. if I would have bought a car a year ago, I would probably be ahead considering what my investment portfolio has been doing. A GT3, GTR, or ZR1, which are all in roughly the same price range as a 360, will all loose more value if you drive them than the ferrari IMO, and none of them put the smile on my face this car does. Does my accountant think it is money well spent? no. But you have to live a little, otherwise, why do you work so hard from Monday to Friday?
You have a large tendency to read into posts what you think or want them to say instead of what they do. I never wrote that you did any such thing, unwad your knickers.
Then what does this mean? I would say "toss" means throw.......etc etc Originally Posted by Exotic Marques It's your money to toss around as you please. Not all of what you posted above is current with my experience. PS. why dont you fill out your profile so you can be taken a little more seriously
