has any one had a problem with both exterior mirrors on the doors not working?
I mean moving the switch to adjust them and they don't (move).
second question, how do you get inside the driver's door to look at the switch connections?
from the outside or the inside of the door?
    thanks,

Both mirrors not working at once? I would guess it is a fuse, relay or switch control---Probably no need to remove the door panels..

Are we talking about a 348? If so, I would suggest that the problem could be in the door jamb wiring connector. For a test, try turning on the ignition, then opening the drivers door, then holding the mirror switch in a position that would normally make the mirror move, and at the same time jiggling the wire bundle down by the rubber boot. If that gets the mirror moving, then you know that you need to repair something at the pins.

can i get that mirror switch out of the door just by prying on it?
that way i can check for power directly to the switch.
    thanks,

    Hi,

For the 328, you can get the switch just by prying on it.

    Regards.

Yes! The whole panel with mirror and window switches pops out fairly easily.

miltonian was right, so was T. Jones at sportauto.
the wires are breaking away from the pins on the connector. First one to go was the mirrors, a few more look like they're not
    far behind.
Does anyone know where I can find the pins or who makes them?
    thanks,

    Yep,

Both mine don't work either, fixing it is a fair way down the list things to do (after getting the motor back in) so will be interested to see what you find out.

Please keep posting (with pics if pos) what you find the problems to be.... ;)
