My pet hate

so a shonky mechanic misses some obvious issues with a 355...and i do mean obvious issues. 355 blows up. engine pulled down. equally clear is that the previously mentioned obvious issues were the cause of the blow up.

owner of car b***hes and moans about shonky mechanic, with good cause.

buys another engine and has it put in by second mechanic and immediately realises himself that there was obviously stuff wrong with the old engine (he'd had no experience with 355s before, so had nothing to compare to) and drives off into the sunset.

now i know there are some money issues and a bit of a (possible) lack of morality on behalf of the owner, but why....WHY would he go back to the first mechanic with his car?

i might almost understand being too embarrassed to go back to the mechanic who fixed the car after screwing them over, but why would anyone go back to the original shonk?? surely that's just ASKING for trouble.

that first one must be one hell of a smooth talker to talk someone around after that, that's for sure!

i always say mechanics are the curse of ferrari ownership, but sometimes the owners are their own worst enemies.

like i said...i just don't get why,

Feel sorry for the second mechanic and his future customers who'll both ultimately pay the price for your pair of shonks.

You've really only got two options here. You could ask the owner. Or you could ask everyone else in the world.

You know the ones. They use the right lane to turn left or turn from the middle of the road. Like a truck needing two lanes to take a corner.

 

oh right. i saw some of those today.

 

i spent all day driving the 328 today. it's odd how i sort of think it's all gutless and stuff, because it's so easy to drive and docile, but it's actually got a fair bit of get up and go.......more than enough to get into all sorts of trouble.

i love that car too.

geez every time you expose that certain pommy mechanic (very loose term) as a liar.............slash goes and puts a ban on..........who's in who's pocket?

 

yeah...it's a bit obvious isn't it? anyway, at least now it's quite clear.
