I'm very glad that you seem to be taking his passing so well. He appears to have been quite an extraordinary man/husband/father, and it is a loss for us all that he is no longer with us...

Sorry for your loss, but what a great Italian immigrant tale! I am second generation Sicilian (that's right, don't mess with us, but I got an offer you cannot refuse :p) and I am proud to hear stories like your dad's. His qualities are missing these days and I wish more immigrants to our country exhibited the same drive, ambition, pride and effort to belong that he did. You should be proud of him; I know I am and I didn't even know him. :) People like your dad and my grand parents are heros that the younger generation could use as role models instead of entertainment industry losers.

My deepest condolences for your loss. Regardless of our age, our parents always seem eternal. I lost my Mother a while ago to CML, so I can commiserate with your pain. Try to remember the good things and don't dwell upon the regrets we all have. I'm sure you were a wonderful son to your father.

    Best,

    Scott

    Roberto,

Please accept my sympathies for the loss of your father. Mine left me at the end of 2006 after a very special lifetime that like yours leaves you with endless thoughts and memories of the best of times spent. May his honor be always recognized by those he knew and influenced. His family is to be proud to have had such an amazing person, mentor and friend so he sounds and was.

Keep him always shining through your days. He will always be there for you.

    Phil

Again thanks to all of you for your very kind words.

Today in a small church in Italy called the "Tricalle" where my father and I were baptized a sermon was held for our family and friends in our home town of Chieti. The sermon was given by my nephew Lorenzo for my father and again the attendance was overwhelming, my Father has not been back since 1994 15 yrs ago hmmm same age as my car.....

    Ciao Papa

Roberto, brother, I am very sorry to read of your father's passing. As many have said it is good you had such a strong man to influence your life and it is also good he lived long enough to see you as the success you are today. Remember to celebrate the good things you shared. It is these moments that live on forever.

Take care of yourself and your family brother. My thoughts are with you.
