    Pete,
The GTO was subject to a complete restoration by Al Roberts at Shelton Ferrari in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the late 1980's by its current owner. Until that time, it carried that distinctive modification to the nose which was intended to increase cooling/airflow. It was restored to the original- which is basically the same nose as every other GTO (they all seem to have their own minor differences in bodywork). It was the subject of a cover story in Cavallino. If you go to their website, you can find pictures of it and a great article.

    Best,
    Dave

Cliff, thanks very much for your great posts. I remember fondly when Mario Tosi (a client of mine) had the GTO. You might take a look at my latest post on "More old photos", as some of your dad's cars might be there for all I know. I'm not sure where "Morgan House" was, perhaps Indiana?

    Hi Ed,
Thanks for your kind words! Morgan house was Bernie Morgan's where
the third Ferrari Club of America annual meet took place in 1966 in Indianapolis.
I'll look at the other post now.

of the meet at Bernie Morgans. Thanks!! I'll show the pic to my dad who is still very much
    in the game!

Wow. Absolutely impressive. I loved the pic of the GTO with the primer paint on the back. At one time it was a car you could possibly see on the street (of course extremely rare but they were driven), now it is nearly impossible.

Thank you very much for sharing.
