    Alright Guys...
    Help a brother out...

F355 Spider.. 6spd, running like a champ. The Floor Mats constantly slide forward no matter how many times
I adjust them. Do any of you knowledgable Fchatters out there have a remedy or solution to this issue? Its super
annoying and I fear that one day the drivers side could get caught near the accelerator pedal causing unwanted acceleration.

    Any Ideas??

    Thanks in advance

    Petey

Check the 308 section, there is a member making clips to hold mats for the 308/328. It may well work for you or give you another idea.

    God that is sooooo annoying!!!

My floormat has jammed the accelerator a little bit before.

At first I thought the clutch was slipping.

I personally have not tried velcro, but I have mates that have on their cars. :):)

Works great, but it would involve gluing/stitching the bottom half of the velcro to the floor carpet in the car and the other half of the velcro onto the back of the mat. :):)

Something I wouldnt do to my Ferrari, but my mates have done it to their 'normal' cars. :D:D

why couldnt you just put the side with the firm bristles on the back of the mats and just use the carpet of the car?

I guess he could try that. :):)

Hopefully it works and hopefully it doesnt mess up the floor carpet too much. :D:D

I just bought a 355 and mine has these neat clips that go thru the mats and rotate 90 degrees to lock down the mats. There are two on each mat at
the back end near the seat.

almost looks like a factory installation, but I'm sure it isn't.

    Thanks for the responses guys.

I've tried Velcro... but had no luck.
I'll keep you posted if I come up with anything concrete.

My 355 has the same clip assembly. It is factory as far as I know. My mats have matching steel lined eyelets that the clips secure.
Birdman on the 308 section has the "Mat Grabbers". Neat invention.

My mats weren't super fancy, so this is what I did. I took an old section of the plastic carpet shield that goes under desks to roll your chair over and I cut it to the shape of the mats. Then I glued it with silicone to the underside of the mats. The shield has those incredibly sharp points on it to keep it from sliding. I'll tell you what, my mats don't slide around at all any more! It adds about 1/8" to the height of the floor, but it's invisible. It's pretty rigid, so it makes it harder to get the mats in and out, but I hardly ever take my mats out. It doesn't hurt the original carpet at all (it's designed to go over carpet). I think these are sold at any office supply store for less than $10.

    It looks like this.

I have this too, and they are factory. Daniel at Ricambi sells them as a kit with both the brass rings for the mats as well as the hold downs.

My 355 is stock with the turnbuckles mounted by the Driver and Passenger sides. I broke one and got a replacement from Ricambi.
You can buy these from craft stores that carry leather working supplies or possibly saddle shops. The corresponding oval grommets should be available also. Try an upholstery shop in your area, they might have some available.

Here are my floor mats that I ordered from Dynamic Tech Group. It looks like they changed the design of the Cavallino though for any new orders. They are a bit dirty because I am in the middle of a stereo install. Notice the grommet for holding the mats in place in the lower left of one of the photos. These are stock and I ordered some replacement grommets from Ricambi because a couple of mine had broken.

Thanks, They must be , I didn't realize they did that. Maybe some legal issues ?? anyway they were great people to deal with and the mats are fantastic...
