    in the attached parts page I would like to know what the part number 15 does and if all wheels have this fitted............none of the wheels on my 1995 f355 have them but maybe they have been lost in the distant past

    They are a very important and expensive inner sealing cap which (I believe) primarily functions to prevent oxidation and electrolytic corrosion of the magnesium wheels. No 14 is just a rubber O-ring.

    #15 is a plastic cap that snaps in on the back side of the center cap--I imagine lke Scott said it keeps out dirt and corrosion from the center cap area...

    are you sure part 15 snaps onto the back of the centre cap?..............or does it sit in the recess on the other side of the wheel centre without actually touching the centre cap?

    Robbie just skipped one word, center cap 'area'.

    The 94's and early 95's held it in with a snap ring, later cars relied on just the O-ring holding it in place. Either way the function is as stated earlier.

    thanks dave...all my wheels will have to come off so I can put part 15 in place
