Check this out: http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showthreaded&Number=53045&site_id=1#import It was in 2005, no doubt some has changed edit: I want an A-10. Go bugsmashing with that Hard to believe they are 30 years old
that guy is good! I only know the basic 15-20 military birds and nothing about variants. I looked and looked for a stealth and couldn't find one (except for the B1's).
B52 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=32+08'59.96%22+N+110+50'09.03%22W&sll=33.396999,44.488063&sspn=0.007918,0.01914&g=33+23'46.08%22+N+44+29'17.03%22E&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=32.151472,-110.831848&spn=0.002407,0.004807&z=18
I'm not so sure, aren't those some tanker or transport, aren't these the B52's... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are you sure those aren't Galaxy C-5's?? B-52's have a smaller diameter body and a more angled wingspan (or so I thought). I thought these were B-52's. Bill Image Unavailable, Please Login
those are C5 galaxies, the ones facing north just north of the C5's are C141 star lifters and if you look farther north there are Kc135 tankers (military 707) Damn they have some tweety birds north of the road
And if you scroll down and to the left, you can see the Pima Air Museum. It's on the south side of E. Valencia Road, directly south of the south end of Davis-Monthan's runway. Great for an aircraft identification test. I even saw their F-107!
I use to live right around the corner from this place. It's HUGE. I wonder what the value of all the aluminum is?
[I}[/I] If you live in or will be near Tucson, go to the Pima Air Museum. They even have a SR-71 there. You will NOT find any F-117s at Davis Monthan or at the Pima Air Museum. Those are all up at Groom Lake. If you can get on Holloman AFB, they have a F-117 on static display at the entry park.
http://dev.live.com/virtualearth/sdk/ use that, much clearer images and you can get a "birds eye view" for some better angles of the planes
