I really can't find any big different from the exterior. Abt the 17K extra cost which include the new paint jobs?
Just had confirmation from my dealer who is at the Geneva Show now with the launch car that the only external difference of the HGTE is 15mm lower and firmer suspension, wheels and radiator grill mesh which has 2 horizontals and 4 verticals instead of the standard car's 3 and 5. The bodyworked is unchanged. Big relief for me. Internally there is extra carbon and Alcantara, most of which are already available as options. The HGTE is an option pack, not a new model. All parts can be retro fitted except of course the new rosso metallic paint option.
My dealer told me the package also includes different seats and a reworked exhaust. Is this correct? From what I could see on the pictures the seats appear to be the same. Exhaust appears to be different on the pictures. I like what I've seen so far.

They're 20-inch rims. I agree with you on both points. I also like how the car looks at a lower ride height. Anyway, those are the only pictures posted there, but I'm sure plenty more will be online soon.
Thanks. I've scheduled a trip to Geneva next week to go see it for myself but I would appreciate an earlier update from you. I'm considering ordering the package on my 599. Thanks Max.
I understand they have put a new software for the gear box ? And a new exhaust (more louder) on the 599. Ferrari 599 HGTE is truly a sport car pure blood.
Just got back from the show. Will post pics later. In the meantime I can confirm the following in addition to my previous comments. Ride height is 15mm lower although Ferrari told me today all 599s can be adjusted this way. Suspension is firmer but this is an ECU swap. Exhaust is modified to sound a little louder and has new end tips - no extra power. Gearchange software is modified in race mode (slightly unsure it was definitely race mode) - actual gearchange time is not affected but the delay from paddle activation to commencement of change cycle is reduced. Again I am told all 599s will be able to be modified in this way. The large plastic moulding under the bonnet in front of the engine is now carbon. Interior has carbon door panels and steering wheel. Lots of alcantara on seats, door handles and ceiling. I don't think existing 599 owners need be concerned about this pack. I certainly don't want firmer suspension and the interior isn't anywhere near as classy as the existing car. The wheels are nice though and the new paint looks stunning at the show but apparantly not so great outdoors. Pics coming up soon.
Thanks but no defense required. This obsession with wheels is absolutely stupid, IMO, unless we're talking about Scion etc.
Excellent pictures, Maximus...! They're so clear and crisp. I love the wheels on this car, they look awesome...! Would you happen to have a high resolution version of this image: If so, would it be possible for you to e-mail it to me...? [email protected]
You picked about the worst shot I took NNO. It's not sharp and doesn't look good at high res. However I have a similar shot here - I'm sending you a 5616x3744 version by email now! Hope this is OK.
