Mondial t is very tempting but I think I may go with the 348 first
I am not being argumentive here... Lets get that clear... Anyhow... I would bet that those who say "348" over Mondial t coupe have not driven a Mondial t coupe (seeing that there were only 43 Mondial t coupes ever delivered to the states - I would imagine that only very few have ever driven one to begin with). And I can assure you that if they had - their answers would probably be different. With that said I am also sure that some that choose 348 over a t coupe just cant get over the four seat thing. But if they would - then perhaps they could see what a honestly fantastic car the t coupe is. If not... Then too bad for them. F&L. You may be interested in knowing that my Mondial t coupe has never found a 348 (including a 348 Challenge) that it could not beat on. Drag strip (a member of the Fchat group here with the 348 Challenge could not touch me) and road course (no 348 comes close) the Mondial t coupe does not seem to be 10% less performing by any measure. But thanks for your personal opinion/input. Really though you may want to try a good one of these on (if you can find one) then recalculate that opinion.
First??? I've sent you four emails regarding the 348 you should buy. It is a simple decision - everything you want and more for a very reasonable price. **** or get off the pot man, your car is waiting... MB

No offense intended here either Michael, but if you are dragging a Ferrari, I think you are in the wrong kind of car. Drag racing a Ferrari is almost sacriligeous. In any case on to the more important point of performance on the road course. It may very well be that you are good enought to beat even the 348 challenge model on the track, but I have been at track days in a Miata where I was all over 911's like a cheap suit, so tell me how much driver skill comes into play. The ultimate question here is answered by 2 seats or 4. Heck if we are discussing performance, we may want to bring the 355 into the discussion which at today's prices may be the better performance "bargain" don't you think? MB
Cool-cool. But MB... It was a FERRARI EVENT at a drag strip (which my Mondial t took top honors at)... So perhaps you are in the minority thinking that was sacrilegious... And of course driver skill is a huge part of the equation. And my road racing license may give me an advantage (and my Drag Racing Dodge may give me an advantage at the drag strip too...) Nevertheless. I want all 348 drivers in 348's (great cars) and leave the t coupes for others. Ha! I have sent him several about Mondial t's (and one that I felt he was missing the boat on too! - again everything he would want & more - for a reasonable price). I guess we are two wild & helpful guys.
Roger all on your response, agree with everything you said. "Ha! I have sent him several about Mondial t's (and one that I felt he was missing the boat on too! - again everything he would want & more - for a reasonable price). I guess we are two wild & helpful guys.[/QUOTE]" As far as Desorno, there are a ton of really good options out there right now. If you sent him some and I sent him some...uhhhhhhh? MB
Not for Nothing the Mondial does not scream Ferrari ... when I show a picture of a Mondial people ask me what kind of car is that . when I show a picture of a 348 EVERYONE says nice Ferrari
thanks for everyones help ...I have had some GREAT advice and input .Micheal B was helpful also and made great point until I almost bought one. I did not start my searching looking for a 348 but this is what it looks like I will be getting.
i have done about 35000kms in my 348 Spider and i love the car ! now i will buy a Mondial T Cabriolet to fit a baby seat in the back. i will enjoy driving both of them. what could be wrong with two topless Ferrari in the Garage. to answer your question: it depends on what you need and expect. no question the 348 Spider has the better look, but the 2+2 option of the Mondial (if needed) is an argument, thats hard to beat.
People who buy and appreciate Mondials, especially Coupes, rarely consider what other people think and would rather it didn't "scream" Ferrari
ok ... you get no argument from me there... so sitting still it doesn't scream after takeoff it starts to make noise
