Anyone know where i can get valve springs and valve guides for my Ferrari 348 ? Ferrari are just to dear! I have found out that 308QV have the same springs and guides, all i need to do is find a cheaper source.
+1 . Daniel and crew by far have the best service and are the most loyal to the Fchat community (they also put on the most FCA events). Tough to keep *everything* in stock 24/7, though. A backup source might be: http://www.performancecylinderheads.com/ferraripage.htm Not sure if that would save you any money or not.
Hi there Andrew, Ron is the guy there, i have been in touch with him but his valve springs have 1 less coil that stock to allow for high lift cams so not sure how these would work ? His guides are bronze and not colsibro which i think is what Ferrari use.
I have the S&R Exotics stuff in my car (and that's what we sell). The way I see, if you're that deep into the poor bugger, why not upgrade to the best possible setup?
Have a look here http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138437471&postcount=97 Well 1 on the inner inlet valve springs have broke and done the top of the guide, so would like to change all 64 valve springs ! but at Ferrari prices no can do ! The exhaust guide are on the limit wear wise so would like to change them, the valve and seats are all ok though.
I have had my 348 for 19+ years, had plenty of use, some great track days and my valve guides/springs/etc., are great. How 'well used' is this example?
Well used i would say !! but not by me, only done around 100 miles in her that was on the way home from the place i brought it from
Ricambi are great to deal with, but as another option try: http://www.sivalves.com/ Was looking for 348 valves a few months ago local Ferrari quoted (au) $480 ea SI quoted (US) $39.95 ea. SI guides (US) $12.39 ea, local guides (AU) $132.00.
