    1st, great photo's of a beautiful engine.

One photo does have a nice red car with knock off wheels and what appears to be a Holly carb sbc in it, please tell me I am wrong!

Great photos and one may help us understand the relationship between assembly numbers and serial numbers. Would you happen to know the serial number of the 360 Challenge car matching the engine photos you posted, one of which shows the engine assembly number? I am betting it is 138XXX.

Anyone know why the air injection intake risers are so tall?
It must be 12" from intake valve to air horn/box.

Terry, unfortunately I don't know the serial number, sorry. But that engine number would fall somewhere within the 119xxx range, not 138xxx. If that engine number were an assembly number, it would most likely fall into the 138xxx range.

The broken aluminum bits in the box are what's left of the engine mounting bracket, to the chassis. It is obvious from the primer that the car took a hit in the rear, consequently shearing the mount. The box of old gaskets has ALL of the engine gaskets from Luigi's rebuild. The rectangular gaskets with big holes in them are the head gaskets.
