Personally I think 348 wheels look terrible on Mondials/308/328s. I really like the color, but the wheels make it look like a kit car.

Hi can a moderator please delete my previous message, I was thinking aloud when I wrote that message and did not intend to hijack or talk down to someone's Ferrari. Thanks.

Those side pics on a couple post almost make it look like a T, which it isn't.

You have the right to express your opinion and i dont think you did so in an offensive manner. Im biased though, as i agree with you.

Hi thanks Andrew, I just hope I did not offend the original poster, who was merely trying to sell a car.

Fantastic machine. I like the wheels, myself. At least they're not totally aftermarket...

I'm not sure it was the original poster's car?

That's a good looking Mondail. I have a set of 355 wheels for sale that would really set that car off!

    I recognize this car!

I live pretty close to it, I've seen it downtown a fair bit, and in West Vancouver as well.

The guy who owns it is about 40 and has a very pretty girlfriend.
It struck me at the time as a well maintained and well loved car, and the pride of ownership was definitely there. As well, I actually saw him get out of it but he seemed busy so I didn't bother him, but he was very caring in how he shut the door - even though we all know how sometimes the doors on these cars need to be slammed because they're built like a vault... ;-)

Anyways, I concur. Someone is going to get a good one, and this car is STILL a stunner. Looked really pretty in coal harbor on a warm august day. =)

Hey 4RE308 no problem with your post. Very gentlemanly of you to retract it though. Its not my car anyhow. The last time I posted photos of MY Prugna t coupe I got chastised for my wheels too, but I took it like a man. I am sure this guy will have the same reaction.

This car is a stunner and the 3.2 is so popular - I hope someone here hunting for a great car gets it.

I'd prefer a black coupe w/a red interior.

    Cheers

With only a few exceptions, Ferraris should be left with their factory original wheels, as nothing else - either wheels from another model Ferrari nor aftermarket - ever looks quite as good.

The wheels on this Mondial are a relatively small matter though. That color is fantastic, and just right for the Mondial. It looks even better than rossa corsa on this car, IMO.

That car is absolutely stunning. I am also partial to the 348 wheels on the Mondial, I think they play really well off the side intakes...which is why I put them on mine!

I think they're perfect wheels and look great on your car.

    Me too ;)

You don't hang around P&R much, do you?

Good looking car. Yes, wrong wheels.

There was some kind of idiot piece I read recently about "10 Alltime-worst Car Designs", Ferrari Mondial was listed as one. Total BS. It's a nice, clean design; looks better in some colors than others, like anything else.

Sorry to go off topic a bit but can I take it from those pics that 348 wheels will fit a 89 model 328 using the original 328 wheel nuts?
A mate has a spare set which he is prepared to lend me while my wheels are getting repainted.

    Thanks... Bob.

That is a spectacularly good looking car.

If I did not already have the world's most expensive Mondial, I'd be all over this one. The color is very classy and really speaks to the restrained elegance of the Mondial design.

Heh heh. Yes, it's easy to lose yourself in making a car perfect, isn't it?

I was stupid the other day. I did the math on what I have spent so far on my GT4. North of $55K

Not that it matters, as I'll never sell it anyway....

Next on my list is a bare metal respray (after a complee carb tune). I'm playing with the idea of doing it in Prugna. What do you guys think? Prugna or again my dark blue color (but metallic this time)??

Nice thought but I don't think your opinion was in any way harsh, just stating what you thought. It will sell anyway as it is a very nice example from the pics and description...no worries.

Intrerestingly owning a 348, about the only car I really like these wheels on is the Mondial, but almost always I am a "stock" guy. That being said, I have purchased a set of 355 rims from Robbie for my 348 :p
