Oklahoma Spotters Thread

We have had a lot of success with Cars & Coffee in Bridgeport http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=201887 It started with one of the guys from the Lambo Club inviting everyone to meet up at a local coffee shop to just BS and talk cars. We tried setting it next to an open air mall in hopes the wives would be entertained, but they don't show up much... This was also started in Seattle with EXOTICS ON MAIN- OPEN INVITE TO ALL http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198636 You guys could probably do something in Bricktown.

 

I saw that Silver Alpina at the Colcord Hotel a couple weeks ago- I'm wondering if it's not a ball player's car.

 

Yesterday, I saw a black Bentley Continental GT or Flying Spur (didn't really pay attention to the number of doors) on 46th St. between Sheridan and Memorial and a white LP640 on the Creek Turnpike.

 

"I'd be up for it anytime. I think it'd be a good idea if we could get about 10-20 of us Tulsa/OKC guys together on a Sunday and just have a meet. When I lived in TX, the local Ferrari guys were doing something on a weekly basis, not once have I see anything in OK."

Seems like a lot more goes on around the Dallas area than here. I go there quite often to visit a friend and we always see exotics, plus his friend has a 360 Challenge that is really awesome.
I'd like to meet up for something sometime around this area, are S2000's invited? I hope cause that's what i got.

There are only 3.5 million people in the entire state of OK. DFW alone has about 6 million. Coupled with the fact that 2/3 of the population lives in a rural area, and you have a setup not friendly to grouping rare cars.

 

Saw a black F430 Spider on NW 122nd and May, the driver was a younger guy with shaggy hair and a beard looked about 25 and a hot blonde passenger. If you're on Fchat, I was in the silver Range Rover drooling over your sweet machine!

Nope! I know all the ball players cars very well.

Speaking of which, on New Years there is an upcoming party at Cafe Nova and the Thunder and Denver Nuggets are going to be there. My good friend Big Rob is in charge of security and has asked me to help get some exotic cars to park in the front to make it look "better". If anyone is interested let me know and I will PM you details on Monday, I can't promise anything other than you will be taken care of.

 

Nothing official is going on yet, but maybe I'll try to put something together in March when the weather is a little better if nobody else steps up to the plate. I would have no problems with S2000's being invited, while I hope many exotics come out, I like to go to these events to meet fellow car enthusiasts, while seeing different types of exotics is always cool, it's the owners that make the meets!

 

Saw a silver 575 around noon today in Tulsa, going south on 169. I was in my Pantera and we exchanged a wave. Beautiful car.

 

What cameras haven't made it out to Oky yet! Maybe by 2015.. No pics in this spotters thread.

Saw Janzen's black 348 today at Utica Square around lunch, twice actually. Look beautiful and sounded even better.

 

Medium blue (I don't Aston's exact name for the color) DB9 or V8 Vantage in downtown Tulsa. I could never get close enough to distinguish whether it was a DB or V8.

 

Anyone have a contact number for the FCA in the OKC area.

Not sure if it really qualifies, but I saw a Suzuki Every kei-size van in midtown Tulsa Monday. It looked like nothing else on the road, so to me it is exotic.

Yeah, when Suzuki's start making news here you know the end is near. I don't get the Corvette post either. I saw a Nissan today...About the same thing.
