Hello All please review: Palm Beach dealer auction results from Tuesday March 10, 2009: 2005 612 13,000 miles F1-shift SOLD $105,000 I sat in this car, drove it in parking lot, and looked it over quite well, it was a nice car
If anyone knows of a 612 in this price range please let me know ... I am looking for a cheap 612 to use as a daily driver ... prefer in red but all colors will work. [email protected]
If it was a grigio ingrid, then that could explain the low price. Grigio Ingrid cars have also sold for much less than any other colors. Dealers have discounted Ingrid $20-30K less than black, titanium, red, silverstone.
Last is the one you mentioned. 20 month gap between the most recent and previous sales tells most of the story; we all know what happened. Yes, Ingrid sells at a discount, which makes it a smart purchase, IMO, if you aren't concerned about the "look at me" factor. Of the lighter colors, it is the most subtle.
Not a fan of the Grigio color myself so I can understand the need to discount for that color. Never been a fan of that color on any F-car, but to each his own. That is a SMOKIN' deal for an AWESOME CAR!
Understood. It wasn't my first choice for an exterior color either, but, even though you want to admire the car as you approach or walk away, when it comes down to it, you really experience your car from the inside. (Think Gallardo exterior and its Audi interior). It was the interior of my 456 that made the big aesthetic difference. You can take a look under the recent 612/599 thread "sabia or crema" (actually spelled "sabbia", I think) at the bottom of the first and the top of the second page to see what I'm talking about.
I don't think that Ingrid is anyone's first, second, third, or fourth choice. Thus all Ferraris in this color are the last to be sold. No one would choose this color if another color was offered at the exact same price. Many would consider this color is a deal breaker at any price.
Yes, it is a nice color. It is not a very popular color. Yes, someone ordered the car in that color, but other colors are ordered many more times over this color. There is an ass for every Ferrari seat. There are just fewer asses for Ingrid.
Wow, what a deal! It is definitely a buyers market right now. With 612 prices dropping I am tempted to upgrade from my 456 to a 612.
If you call any dealer and ask them for a trade in price on any ingrid car, then ask them if the car was another color, say black or red, would they give you more, you will see your example. Or, ask the dealer directly that you are thinking of ordering it in Ingrid, but you are worried about resale values, and if they would recommend another color. If they say that they would not or that it doesn't matter, then I am wrong. Ferrari of san francisco, had an ingrid that they could not sell for almost a year. The car was priced about 20-30k less than other color 612s that they sold. In the end, it really doesn't matter what I think, if you love the color, then that is the most relevant factor, and you will get a better price for it than any other color, if you don't then you are not negotiating hard enough. More people should order this color, so there will be more variety on the market and make it more of a popular and well loved color. I think a ferrari in any color is better than the best color in another car. If anyone likes Ingrid out there and is thinking of buying one, please do, all of us are right behind you and will support your fantastic decision. More Power to Ingrid and all those who are not afraid to express their feelings and don't give a damn what anyone else thinks. GO GRIGIO INGRID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a good deal. I was thinking about picking up a QP as a new DD but at these prices it is really tempting.
The car was bought by Sanfer Sport Cars in Miami. I didn't look it over too well , but they did buy other F cars with frame damage that same day. Have this one properly inspected if you have any real interest.
Thank you. I've called and talked to the principal, I think. He acknowledged that the car had a little pain work done on the door, otherwise it's perfect. I've ran a Carfax and found a little tiny thing. The color was noted as Gray when it was new on Jan 26, 06. When the car was sold @13,237 miles, it was noted as Silver on 09/23/08, and finally on 03/05/09 with a few hundred miles more, it was noted as Beige. Well, I do not think it was painted 3 times. Perhaps, DMV people do not like all the fancy Nuovo Grigio Ingrid and stuff, so they just noted whatever color appeared to them at that time. Still, I'm waiting for him to call me back next week if he'd accept my offer (with his reasonable profit margin of course), then I will go ahead with a PPI. I don't expect much though, cheap price for an "average condition" car is quite acceptable.
I bought a car from the guy in '94. A decent guy. I got a good deal on a good car and still have it. I would buy from him again. Good luck with it.
my scag was grigio nuvolari/cuoio/grigio piping, a [shock] maser colour!!! slightly darker than ingrid, and it was TITZ personally if you give me a big discount for ingrid i am all over it, and the palm beach blue hair gig in 612's: ingrid w cuoio interior with navy piping is rather TITZ even if you arent 90 years olde there's usually 2-5 of them for sale in that combo i would love to find a strad in ingrid
Ok, Ingrid with damage history. The price makes sense. It is good if you make an informed decision, but don't be surprise that at resale there will be further discount. Sports Car Company had a very pretty 2 tone 612 with diamond pattern interior, which had some paint work, they had a hell of a time selling it, but it was finally sold at a substantial discount. This same car was also at a Ferrari Dealer in Texas and could not be sold there. A damaged Ferrari is still a Ferrari. A Ingrid Ferrari is still a Ferrari. A damaged Ingrid Ferrari is still a Ferrari.
