Mine looked similar; my Bosch sensors were still functional, what we have going on here is environmental factors degrading the connectors. Good tip on keeping the old ones as spares, since in many cases the original sensors still have life in them, just not the wiring/connector associated with them.

mine were the same as well. Repeated hot/cold cycles and too rigid a clamping system also contribute to connector destruction.

I had the car idling on the ramp and shorted the sensor pins by spraying water on them, it stalled and would not restart, until I dried them and reset the ECU. This happened to me while driving in heavy rain 2 months ago.

I replaced both sensors (800 miles ago and 3 weeks ago) with Facet (generic equivalents).
    Original : BOSHC 0 261 210 029
    Fiat part : 7616269
Kia part : OK2A6-18-891 (may be a zero instead of an "O"), used on Kia Carens I 1.8, Carnival 2.9, II 2.9 and Retona 2.0

These have been working perfectly in the wet and the dry...
