I found a place in Maui that has a wheel dyno so im going to try and dyno the 355 in the next few weeks. Let me know what you think it will dyno. It has custom exhaust,headers,cat-bypass pipes and air boxes.

Remember not to use Ferrari's 360 HP numbers. :) Seriously.

    Its hard to say:

The dyno output of a 360 in normal running condition fully tuned is between 320 HP and 330 HP, with 310 HP and 335 HP as lower and upper confidence levels (93%).

A typical dyno on a F355 should be in the 295 HP to 305 HP range with 285 HP and 310 HP as lower and upper confidence level (93%).

Therefore, you have at least a 7% chance that any random stock F355 will out dyno any random stock F360.

You have added headers, and miscellaneous exhaust components and miscellaneous intake components. Normally these can add some minor amounts of TQ and HP in the amounts of around 10 HP.

If I take the 10 HP as a 100% confident number; you end up with about a 37% chance of out dynoing a random fully tuned absolutely stock 360 on the same chassis dyno, running the same gasoline on the same day......

If I take the 10 HP number as a normally distributed range from 5 HP through 15 HP, you end up with aabout a 29% chance of out dynoing that same F360 same caveats.

Your assumptions call for a 20% drive train loss for the 355, assuming the factory specs are correct. This seems like a lot. My experience is with Porsches where the rule of thumb is usually conservatively set at 15%. Some go as high as 18%. Why such big a loss with the 355?

Its either that or those guys in Modena have been a little liberal with their dyno calibrations :D

My seat of the pants dyno indicates more than a 10hp increase from my mods. Car also feels quicker then my uncles 360 did.

aside fron the dyno numbers.....the 360 is significantly lighter than the 355....i have driven 5 355s and 4 360s andthe 360s all felt subjectively quicker
