This may be a silly question, but can anyone recommend the best soap to use for washing the 348? I was told by a body shop to use shampoo, but then I was told by somebody else not to use shampoo. I was told to use dish soap, but I don't feel comfortable using that. Also, is there an alternative to wax, since using wax leaves that white film?

    thanks

Personally I use all Meguiars products (including car wash shampoo). I've used most of the more expensive, mail order only products. I keep going back to Meguiars.

Meguires "Gold Class" car wash works great (and was recommended to me by my detailer) you can find it at most larger discount stores, like WalMart. Maybe even at "crappy tire"... ;)

If you want an easy to use wax, that goes on easy and comes off easy and does not leave that dried powdery mess, I highly recommend P21S wax. It is very highly rated. You can find it at most any German auto dealer, like BMW, Porsche or Mercedes. Or, save some $$$ and go to your local Harley Davidson dealer, they sell the exact same product under the brand S100 for almost half the price. :)

Be sure and prep the surface first, after washing by using a clay bar.
