I was looking at the ferodo ds2500 brake pads for the ferrari..front and back. In the write up they mentioned using or could use the ds3000 in the front and the ds2500 in the rear. A little confused.I do at least one track event a year. thanks van

If you are just doing one a year start with DS2500 - always remember that the first stop from cold can be a little slow

I used the DS2500 on my 360 at the track (on front and rear). The pads did not stand up to the heat generated in hard track use and the pad material sort of glommed onto the front rotors causing all sorts of vibration/pulsations on the way home from the track.

Next time I tried Porterfield R4 (on front and rear) for the track and had no more problems. With experience, what I have found works best for me is the porterfield R4 compound for track days and I use the R4S for street use (less dust than the factory pads).
