A British driver is favourite to win the Australian Grand Prix which takes place at the end of the month but it is not Lewis Hamilton, the current Drivers Championship winner.

Jenson Button Surprise Favourite For Australia

Jenson Button, who will be driving for Brawn GP, is the favourite to win the Australian Grand Prix and can be backed at 11/4 with Stan James. Button is expected to have a decent but not fantastic season, he is 8/1 with Blue Square and Coral to win the F1 Drivers Championship.

Lewis Hamilton Hoping To Dominate For Years To Come

Lewis Hamilton is the driver most will be looking out for, he is 13/2 with Stan James to win the Australian Open and he is 9/2 second favourite with Paddy Power and William Hill to win the F1 Drivers Championship. Hamilton was expected to win the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year in December but was beaten by Olympic hero Chris Hoy. He is 5/1 second favourite this year with Bet365 and Blue Square.

Ferrari Expected To Retain Constructors Title
Ferrari are expected to have a good year, they are the 6/4 favourites with Ladbrokes and William Hill to pick up the F1 Constructors Championship, ahead of McLaren who are 10/3 with Bet365, Paddy Power and SkyBet.

    Ferrari’s Drivers Hold Great Chances
Ferrari almost had the Drivers Championship winner last year with Felipe Massi but he is only the third favourite to win it this year at 11/2 with William Hill. Kimi Raikkonen is 4/1 with Paddy Power and Coral to win the F1 Drivers Championship and that makes the Finn to regain the Championship which he won in 2007.

    Go Button!

Remember that the odds can have more to do with what they expect people to bet rather than just the expected outcome.

Massa at sixes and Hamilton at 8.5? If I were a betting man I'd have some of that.

Probably overrated, but the fun part is that nobody can tell. Not even the teams.

    Can't wait.

I'm betting spots 3 - 7 lose the front wing on the first lap.

You mean first corner :) I think none of them stand a chance for the first lap :)

    It could happen.
The start and 1st corner certainly will be most exciting and the place to be for carbon fibre souvenir hunters. :)
