Hi Andrew. It was in Dannevirke. I've seen his car here a few times before and also around the Manawatu. He said he had is 550 Barchetta up at the A1GP last week so his cars must be doing a lot of miles!

Some pics from the Top Gear exhibition that was on over the weekend. http://www.flickr.com/photos/31124136@N03/3281425696/in/photostream/ [not all Ferrari's though]
I just read on Stuff.co.nz that a family friend of my cousin's just bought a black 612 and a yellow 360 at Turners yesterday. Hopefully I can get some photos when we visit them and their new baby in a few weeks time. Should be good.
This was well reported, I wonder how you can get the full listing report of what sold for what? Turners site doesn't seem to have it.
There weren't too many cars in this auction. I noted down some prices though. '99 Ferrari 360 Modena - start $90k, reserve $101k, sold $105k. '06 Range Rover Sport - start $70k - passed in. '00 Maserati 3200GT - start $30k, reserve: $35k, sold $38,750. '06 Chrysler 300C Estate (6 cyl diesel) - start: $30k, reserve $37k, sold $42,250. '05 Ferrari F430 Spyder - start $190k, reserve $200k, sold $209k. '03 BMW M3 - start $22k, reserve $30k, sold $30,250. '05 Hummer H2 - start $55k, reserve $55k, sold $75,500. '90 Ferrari 348 TS - start $75k - passed in. '06 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S - start $110k - passed in at $117,500 (sold later through negotiation). '05 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti - start $220k, reserve $249,500, sold $255,500. '04 BMW 645Ci - start $50k, reserve $53.5k, sold $53.5k. '07 Porsche 911 - start $90k, reserve $110k, sold $120k. '04 Mercedes E55 AMG - start $50k, reserve $57k, sold $57.5k. '07 Audi Q7 Quattro - start $72k, reserve $72k, sold $77,750. There was also a BMW X5 and Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio but didn't bother watching those auctions. Some pics on my Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robdognz/
Cheers for that too, seems that the car buying public are as active as ever. $75,000 start for a 348 seems a bit high though?
Not many around at that price though, and as we all know you can't put all cars into one cheap pile, some simply aren't worth as much as others. So to say the 348 is priced high with out thorougher inspection of its overall condition and the thorougher inspection of other cars you are comparing the price with brings you to a conclusion based on assumption. I have not seen ether of the cars in question, but a good 348 is going to be a cheaper car to own than a bad 355. The 360 that sold has blue leather on the lower dash and door cards, but black seats. How dose that happen?
Yellow F430 Spider outside the Palmerston North City Library on Thursday. It left just before my camera arrived...Plate was ENG106
Went to the Auckland Historic Racing Magazine Classic Car Show today, great turnout, some interesting stuff. F430 and 308GT4 plus me. Heaps of porkers who for some strange reason roped their enclosure off, several 'Cobra's' both real and not, lots of Javelins, good to see. Several hot rods and assorted yank tanks (very loud!) but the car of the show must be the under development 'Hulme' sports car. Seriously powerful, great styling and I hope it gets off the ground. There was also an 05 RR with the plate T. Apparently the owner has over 20 RR plus Jags and a very OTT Diablo, purple with green leather, SATAN plate! Great day out, beautiful location right in the heart of superyacht land, sun shine all day, fantastic!
This one, right? Yep, even for me this is OTT ... c Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
