Congrats, reminds me of my first 348 which was exactly like yours, red TS with tan interior. I drove it 700 miles home, what a blast. Looks 3 times what you paid for it, so expect your neighbors to start asking questions ;)

Enjoy in good health, and drive her often (at least once a week), it will keep her running great.

Just tell them its a late model Fiero with Ferrari badging. It will keep them guessing and keep your profile low.

Screw the neighbors! You aren't living their life, nor they yours. Enjoy your car. Share the Ferrari experience and if they are having problems, tell them to get a better job and some anti-depressants.

Congrats! Beautiful car!!! Love those wheels.

Please read and head Miltonian's words, above. The re-set proceedure is in No Doubt's 348 Primer - it is a must for all new 348 owners. It is very simple - not even a screwdriver involved - and takes 12-15 mins. Mine idles at 1200 when it is trying to "find itself" after a battery shut off.

Might also mention that it would be a good idea to eliminate any mechanical problems that might be holding up your idle before getting too deep into electrical problems or mixture problems. Just to be sure, grab your throttle pedal manually and pull it all the way back - does that change anything? Is there any chance that the floor mat is preventing the pedal from returning all the way? Then check in the engine compartment where the cable attaches to the cross linkage. Does it appear that the linkage arms return freely to their stop positions? Lastly, you should check to make sure that the rubber boots in the intake system are properly seated and their clamps are tight.
