this is my brothers plymoth gtx.

he has sent it to Hennessey and it's getting a complete transplant.

custom made chassis with independant front and rear suspension and beefed up viper dana rear end.

the engine is an twin turbo overbored brand new viper engine. it will deliver in excess of 1000hp....

the mechanics are almost done and then it will head to the body shop for an A1 bodywork finish and custom connolly leather interior:

Pretty sick car for sure, and different!

Brave man letting Hennessy touch it after his "past".

But it's going to be sweet!

Hennessey isn't very far from my parents old house.

LUV that... Funny too. But remember of course the GTX never came with less than a 440 or a Hemi. This Viper engine is a very cool mod though.

Look forward to seeing and hearing a youtube of this beast.

I'm still lusting for a 6-bbl lift off hood GTX or Roachrunner.

HA, i dont know if you have ever heard a Viper motor before, but they sound nothing like a 383....I think I would be a bit cautious about racing something that had that sound coming from under the hood.

    HAHAHA

Uhhh, have I ever heard a Viper engine before? How about it guys, anyone who knows me able to answer that question?????

My avatar is one of my old drag cars. It only put out 650hp. Two others put out a little over 1500hp and 2000hp. And my favorite muscle car was my '68 442 that was bored, stroked, blueprinted and balanced, Crower roller cam, Jahns racing pistons, Doug's headers, Accel ignition, Edlebrock high-rise intake with 750cfm 4 bbl carb. Ported and polished heads. Put out a little over 675hp on the street. Oh, I ran 4:56 gears too, so it was wound up kinda tight real fast when I accelerated hard.

I was just spoofin' the running for pinks thing. It is just so cool to see a car that looks pretty stock and can blow the doors off just about anything it pulls up next to. I love what is happening with this car. I would love to drive the finished product.
