I hope a third party swoops in and wins it at the last second.

Obviously you didn't watch the chaos and pandemonium that was created over an original factory (3223GT) dashboard mounted Hula Doll on ebay a year or two back... bidding on that went well into 5 or 6 figures...seller had absolutely no idea what was going on. I laughed every night when I checked on it...like musical chairs, bidding gets into that range and everyone gets nervous, yet you are labeled a whimp if you are not in the game.....

Never happen. Those 2 idiots will bid it to the moon long before the auction ends.

Every once in a while a pair like that get involved in something I want and the price always goes to stupid money.

You didn't want it anyway. It has a curved face to fit the curved facia panel in 360.

Go to the store and get a real radio for about the same money. I bet Ferrari paid about $5.95 for those and they got screwed.

You mean its not the same as the one in the 550? Good to know, thanks

I like that one because it has knobs, I can't deal with the tiny buttons on the 355 Sony.

Looks as if some one is trying to run up the price on purpose.

Doesn't look lile either of those guys are familiar with sniping. Actually, I don't think many people are aware of it yet, but it has worked for me 100% of the time. It's so funny to watch people going back and forth and back and forth just for me (or actually my snipe site) win it at the last second. And it's always a good deal below the max I've wanted to bid on an item.

So, yeah, I don't really like to talk about sniping that much because, like I said, I don't believe it's that well-known yet and once everyone finds out about it, everyone will be doing it. But I don't mind sharing with my fellow F-chatters.

I've been sniping for years, about the most I ever allow is 3 seconds, usually 2, sometimes 1, and I actually have won once with zero time remaining. I do it all with a stopwatch, no online snipe sites for me.

Yeah, I do that too, because it's actually more fun. There are some cool downloadable stopwatch apps that you can use to sync up perfectly with the eBay server clock.

However, when it's something I absolutely must have (Alfa parts usually) and don't want to take any chances, I use the site because it's faster than any human can actually be (think F1 versus standard 6-speed) and also blocks anyone else trying to bid at the last minute.

A good reason for using BIDNIP.com. I'm happy to recommend sniping to everyone EXCEPT those bidding against me.

Anyone signing up with BIDNIP please use me as a reference. I can alway use free snipes but don't mind paying $0.25 because they save me much more than they cost.

"Sniping blocks competitive bids, except by proxy. It prevents other bidders from discovering your proxy bid. It keeps your interest in an item private. It protects you from being shilled. And, it's fun!"

^That's copied from my snipe site's FAQ. I don't know. I just know I've never not won an auction I've sniped.

I use bidnapper.com, but there are LOTS of different options.

That's misleading. Their service doesn't prevent competitive bids. Anyone else sniping (or just bidding last second with a higher bid than yours) is still going to win the auction. It in no way blocks any other bidders but I can see how the misleading text from the site could give someone that impression.

Ahhhhhh. I got ya. I was gonna say that doesn't seem fair even from a sniping point of view.
