Ok, bell bottoms have been back for years. But the return of hip-huggers is just plain gross on so many people. Both teen & middle-aged women think they are “in style” by wearing these skin-tight, belly-bearing jeans. Give me a break! Lobes of fat hanging over the belt is not attractive AT ALL. Yet these women are intent on wearing pants 2 sizes too small & “letting it all hang out”. Yeah, the 60s set the fashion trend for today but back then only slim girls wore the pants. Just the facts. Same w/ guys (Bret Michaels, etc).
What’s up w/ all the hip-huggers today? Does your girl wear them? Do you? Pix please.

The phenomenon that you are referring to is called "The Muffin Top Look." Disgusting. I'm not a fan of muffin tops or cottage cheese thighs.

Sorry to learn of your depression. I visit Madison about four times a year. While there and for the hell of it, my buddy's and I play a game called 'My Skinny Chick'. Whichever one of us spots a gal under 140 pounds, "My Skinny Chick" is shouted out and that's worth a buck. One night while at a busy bar (The Hoddie) then on to a casino (Ho-Chunk), there was a total of about six Skinny chicks spotted over a ten hour period. Pretty sad indeed. I guess it's because of the long cold winters where most women simply sit around the house to stay warm while pounding down pizza's and shoveling bon-bons! Maybe if they were outside shoveling snow, they would not be overweight:D

I'm right there with you. I love me a thick woman.

By the way, being kindred spirits with Ed is just asking for trouble. But he's got good taste in women, too. Like Mystery... :)

I was trying on jeans at Saks not long ago and I tried on like a billion pairs of Rock & Republic and I swear they ALL were low like that. Otherwise they looked great but every pair I put on came so low I had this little puff of fat at the top, and I wouldn't consider myself a big girl. I'm no hardbody gym girl but it's not like I have huge rolls. I asked the guy working there which style didn't come so low and he said the whole line is like that. WTF? Unless you are rail thin, and I mean NO body fat, it's really hard to get that to look good.

It's like that for guys even. It's hard for me to find any jeans that aren't low rise. I do have a few, but I wear them like regular jeans. Express for men's jeans suck ass now and they use to be my favorite. Their regular fits use to fit my skinny ass just right and now I can't even find regular fits there or damn near anywhere. And the ones that are fit and feel like crap.

I have the exact opposite problem! I'm so slim that most guy jeans simply will not fit me and I have to wear girl jeans :( But the jeans these days are just sooooooooooo low rise that there's simply no way I could possibly wear them without crushing my balls.

Maybe I should rephrase, it doesn't depress me as much as sickens me. I have no issues with the fatasses as I am engaged to a wonderful 125 pounder, but for the most part, this place is sick. I know so many people who just do not care at all what they look like. They will chug beer and eat brats all day and night and relish in being pigs....really. To worsen the situation, they all love these fatroll enhancing low rise jeans (plus anything else they can find in their closets they shouldn't wear). I have lived in a bunch of places and this place is just f-ing odd. This is not a joke, I have gone to Chicago just to remind myself people do care about what they look like in other parts of the country.

I have this problem whenever I try to wear men's trendier jeans my fiance likes me to wear. My cokc and balls get all out of whack because they hang on the crotch seem...it's rediculous. Whenever I go shopping these days I cannot think of anything but Rodney's "Easy Money"....do you have any men's clothes for men?

I think jeans are just a pain for a lot of people to buy. It's so hard to find a pair that fits right. Like that day I tried on all those that were so low I also tried on a bunch of other pairs. I felt so bad for the guy working there who kept trying to help me find something. I was dermined to buy a pair after all that since he tried so hard and did end up with one good pair but then I had to hem them, not that that's unusual.

I am going to sound like a women here but whatever. I am not as fortunate as you to fit in any pair I try on. Due to my sporting background my whole life, I have very muscular legs that are much thicker than the average person. My a** is thicker too but thankfully not like it was when I was playing baseball in college. For a lot of years in my life I had to buy baggy jeans just so it didn't look like I was wearing tight woman's jeans. It sucked. I actually stopped wearing jeans for a while because I thought the baggy jean trend was disgusting.

I am now a lawyer so I have significantly slimmed down but still have thick legs so it is still somewhat of an issue depending on the brand I buy. Now the issue is I am between a 30 and a 32 leg length. I'm just f***ed up size wise.
