    @$@#$%$#@ @$%@$% #%%*(*&* !!#$!!!!!!!!!

Just watching tape of qualifying right now, just got done with Q1. What in the heck was Ferrari thinking not putting Massa back out!?! Without knowing more that was all Ferraris fault and ticks me off such a professional top tier team makes the mistake of not putting a car back out on a rapidly improving track.

Seems somewhat underwhelming given the Brawnda's astonishing accomplishments BUT, isn't this Toyota's first time on the front row ? Congrats to Trulli if so....almost there.... ;)

Malaysia is a really hot track and keeping KERS cooled is a problem for other KERS teams, not only Ferrari.

2 races in and KERS is becoming a huge joke.

If a new technology cannot be used on every lap of every venue on the slate, then that technology is junk.

It will be a very intersting race tomoro. It rained heavily between 2-3 pm today, and again at 7-9pm. The circuit will be green tomoro, i think.

Michael, rumor in the paddock is that they are sandbagging. Ross does not want to show his complete hand at this time. The diffuser is helping, but he has created the best chassis/tire combination of all teams.

    So even without the diffuser.........

Yah, good point, NOT. Edison didn't get the lightbulb right on the first try, so lets keep using candles and whale oil lamps!

However I did enjoy qualifying and seeing new faces at the top of the charts.

    Go Brawn, go Button!

Same here. Despite the fact that Ferrari --and consequently Kimi-- is even worse off than I thought previously. It is like a whole new sport this season to me.

If I'm not mistaken, Toyota, among other Michelin-shod teams, had decided on Sat qualifying that they weren't going to race the following day (the 2005 Indy Debacle). This decision prompted them to load up just enough fuel in Trulli's car to run that one lap for qualifying. As a result, Trulli's car was extremely light (not with typical race fuel load) which gave him the pole. To me, this was not a genuine pole...

You still use tapes, as in video cassette tapes? VHS or BetaMax? ;)

That's the rumor. I believe that even if the diffusers are deemed illegal, they will still be strong and competitive. All we have to do is look at Rubens Barichello last week in Australia. That car took a good beating, destroyed the diffuser and damaged the front wing, and he was still pulling strong. There's more to their performance than just the rear diffuser.

    VHS here.

My cable provider offers DVR and I could of course get a Tivo, but I'm no friend of all that: I want to be able to tape and watch the stuff anywhere in the house. We have VCRs and TVs in all the rooms and watch the stuff in about 5 different places.

Plus I like to make DVDs off shows I consider worth preserving.

    And I'm getting old. :)

no, Verizon FIOS DVR type recorder, but the process will always be a "tape" to me. :)
