Thanks for the wonderful photos Carol! Had to make do with the hourly reports on dailysportscar.com (which were great as usual) but would have loved to have actually seen the race. Looks like it was a good show all the way round. Gary
Great pics, Carol. Gave me a sense of being there. Would love to know who John of B is. He drove quite well I'm told. Nice taste in cars too.
Thanks to all you guys for your comments, very much appreciated. The entry list in the catalog shows him as Mr. John of B and is from France (if that helps). The #38 M1 is driven by the same guys who drive the Virgo Motorsports 430 in GT2, they had the M1 parked next to the Ferrari transporter - that is one low to the ground car! The gentleman from the Netherlands with the 275 GTB 4 trucked the car to this race; for the CER events at Spa, he drives it to the track, runs it, then drives it back home (as in the days of old). He doesn't use slicks either, not bad for racing a car that's worth about 1M USD. The CER entry list at Spa is suppose to be more than this past weekend. The paddock area for the CER cars certainly draws the crowd, you can get right in the car's face as it were. Next event is LMS Spa in a few weeks. Thanks again, Carol
For Spa and the rest of the races, try the live timing on www.lemans-series.com - I had it up on my iPhone while sitting there watching the cars. Carol
I tried posting a direct link, but it doesn't seem to work. The photo gallery is on http://www.***************.com
I understand from Daily Sportscars that Michael Vergers in the #38 M1 had a good struggle with Mr John in the 512 in the first stage of the CER one hour race. http://www.dailysportscar.com/viewArticle.cfm?articleUID=8F3B8017-1143-FDC9-3559B069D771E25D
