Thank you I'd also like to point out that the bottles in the 2nd to last pic with the double dead guy, 2 Nugget Nectars etc are bombers (22oz bottles)
So uh Hot Rodder.. Mind if I come over? What a great thread. New beers to try. Some of my favorites are: Dogfish head Stella Fosters Guinness Blue Moon Sierra Nevada (Pale, Celebration, pretty much everything) Beck's Oktoberfest Beck's Dark Sam Adams Terrapin Rye Pale Ale(might be my favorite beer, microbrewed in Athens, GA)
Just read the Alaskan Brewing Co is coming out with a summer seasonal. It is a white wheat beer made with Orange and Coriander. Yummy!
Yea the summer beers are coming out now. Troegs has a summer beer called Sunshine Pils. I suggest everyone check it out. Its great
Great collection Chris. Suprisingly I've had the vast majority of beers you have atop your cabinets. It looks remarkably similar to my college kitchen. I'll have to look for double dead guy since I'm a fan of Dead Guy Ale. Getting with friends in 2 weeks and work on brewing our first beer. We're going to go the simple route the first few times to get the hang of it and progress from there.
I'm on BA. More of a lurker though but I'm on it a lot. Its normally always open in a tab whenever my computer is on
Nice thread! Try "Lech" from Poland 500ml green cans really quite nice. Poland has many really nice beers, try them all! There used to be one called "Magnat" but I can't find it anymore. The best beer I can remember was in Tamm Germany. Lots of great stuff on tap everywhere. I always bring home something different in addiditon to Lech, just to try it out.
I go on BA while I'm in the beer shop too on my blackberry (I'm on it now too) and check revews of certain beers etc
How do you like the Sierra Nevada Torpedo? I have heard it is similar to their celebration ale which is one of my favorites. I just tapped my latest keg of Ruination IPA.
You want good beer? Come to Oregon. Widmer makes a great American "heff". Rogue makes a great chocolate stout....and we have everything in between My favorite American beer though is Ale Smith Speedway stout from the San Diego area. Hard to find, and rather expensive...
I'm trying to find the Pliny (both younger and elder) and Dark Lord Imperial stout at a decent price. Hard to justify $12 for a beer...
You won't find the younger (in bottles at least). Guarenteed The elder is everywhere in CA but us East coasties have to deal with it on draft at certain places. Like i said, i was close to paying $170 for a case. I might do that over the summer when i have a bit more $$$
I finally found it at the Spec's near my parents old house. But, they were "Temporarily Out of Stock". I asked the guy and he said it should be available today or tomorrow, he order 7 cases. He said it'll be gone by Saturday at the latest. He says it sells out really quickly. Unfortunately I won't be on that side of town until Friday so I'll check then and hopefully luck out. In the mean time I picked up a 6er of Left Hand Milk Stout - okay, but kinda chocolatey tasting which I'm not a fan of. Also picked up a 6er of UFO Hefe which is new to the area I believe. Haven't tried it yet.
