    Engine removal is not required for cam seal replacement in the 328.

    Definitly not. If you are getting all the CSO seals done it might make sense to get the valve clearances checked while they are in there though.

    Do yourself a favor and get some of this sealer...threebond 1211 liquid silicone gasket.

    10-4 on the cement...allow as much time as is possible for set up as it will remain "soft" for several days...it will heat cyle harden quickly, so letting it sit for a number of days is best prior to "running" it in, so to speak.

    If tension on belts are relaxed, they must be replaced, cjeck play in lower drive bearings for belts-frequently they become noisy subnsequent to belt replacement... OEM tensioner bearing replacement has been my MO over the years from a purely safety perspective.
    On the oiul seals, this iss all for naught should you NOT perform the oil hole drilling modification-there is a factory tool for this, check with your local professional practitioner, as he WILL almost certainly, have it. It is done to all 4-valve cars(allows the oil which puddles behind the seal to drain back ito the drain galleys.)
