Just got back. Sorry I had to leave a little early...had someone to meet.

Anyway, was great meeting the Tax Dr. & Matt.
It's wonderful that Matt shares the passion of cars and appreciates Ferrari.
Got to see the Red/Tan 599 and she is sweet! When she started, the exhaust note was wonderful!
even the burbling at idle is great!
And you have to love the license plate cover...

And as if the gods weren't smiling enough, another building resident brought his Red/Tan 430 Spyder by. (sorry, no pics) Three Ferrari. Life is good.

Repairs to Enzo are almost complete. Enzo should be back by the end of next week. Will bring it to the office ASAP. Since it is tax season I am very busy but will make time to at least show the car but may not have time for a ride/drive until after the 15th of April.

Woah, guy, take it easy! :D No need for morbid thoughts just yet! (No worries, I'm just giving you a hard time)

C'mon, Tax Dr isn't a REAL person is he?! :p This man, who offers his Enzo and 599 for rides and drives to complete strangers and Ferrari passionistas, can't possibly be real! Pretty cool, Dr. :thumbsup

Hello Ferrari People. I have had this interesting chat site saved in my computer for some time now. However, only today did I sign up. Why today? I will tell you why.... I was driving in the Hanover area today in the rain and what do I see parked in front of a store? A red Enzo.... In the rain.... I made a quick turn around and into the parking lot I go.... Now, I was lucky enough to see an Enzo once or twice before at a major show, however, to see one sitting in a parking lot next to a van in the rain is almost a million to one shot right? I take a few photos with my phone, I never used my phone camera so I had to learn very fast. Within a few minutes, a man comes over and after a friendly hello, opens the door and opens the engine compartment. I had the pleasure of helping lift this impressive lid. I touched an Enzo. This nice man even offered me the chance to sit in his car. Although I wanted to, I did not since I did not have on my suit and tie. Very neat plate on this car as well. After talking to him for a few minutes, I waited until he was done talking with another person and watched him start this car up. Wow! Next, I had the thrill of the day by watching him pull out of the parking lot and up to RT 10. I was behind him for a few miles along RT 10, watching everyone almost running into each other looking at this car. As soon as I came home, I remembered that I had saved this site and wondered if anyone around here was talking about this guy. Sure enough, I see an entire post about this man "Tax Dr" and his cars. I see that he also posts here as well. If you are reading this Tax Dr, I must tell you that I am very impressed with you and I'm going to tell you why right now. It's not because you own an Enzo. Yes, the car is wonderful. This is not the point. The point is that you, Mr Tax Dr are a real car guy and a real person! You drive that car in the rain like it was a Datsun and from what I just read on this site, you are nice enough to not only allow but to encourage car fans like us to come and visit you and maybe even go for a ride in your car? This man is one outstanding human being to say the least! I hope I see you on the road again someday. I am still pumped up from today and now I want to see that new Fast and Furious movie that is coming out tonight. Maybe there will be a Ferrari in the movie and not just pocket rockets from Japan. You made a nice day (we always try and have a nice day) 1000 times nicer for me today and I thank you stranger. I think this weekend I am going to dust off my good old red Mondial in the garage and take it for a drive. I have not used the car in well over a year and now I want to drive it again. I can pretend it's an Enzo. Hey, at least it's a red Ferrari. For anyone who thinks that the Tax Dr and his Enzo driving in the rain is just a story....Well, he and his Enzo are just as real as the computer screen you are looking at is real....

Great post. I live a mile from Richard's office and see the Enzo (or 599) parked there routinely. Seems to always bring a smile to my face. More importantly, my wife, who could care less about cars, is quick to point it out everytime she sees it. I have a two year old that rode his tricycle into the front wheel of my Modena the fiifh day I had it. My wife backed our Spider into our basketball pole two weeks after we bought it. Seeing Richard cars seems to put it all into perspective.

It is always fun for me to meet someone like you who appreciates the look smell and feel of a Ferrari. While it may make your day to see one of my cars and meet me the rush I get reminds me of the long ago days when the rich kids with their vets and jags would not give me the time of day and would not talk to me of show me their cars. By taking the time to meet and greet "fans" of Ferrari helps me even the score with those rich kids who would not share the experience. It was you who made my day. Call me after tax season to go for a ride/drive. The Tax Dr rain or shine.

Thanks for the kind words. After Tax season stop by when you see one of my cars parked out front. FYI... My yellow/black Scuderia spider should be here within two weeks. Hope to meet you soon. Life is short...enjoy your family... a car can always be replaced...a loved one can never be replaced...enough with the heavy words... it is early a.m. ...no one is on the road...time to take a drive and see what these cars are built for. Enjoy the day.

Just took the Scuderia spider for a test drive...Oh boy what a car...Will be dropped off at my home next week...Can not wait. My previous 430s were fast but this is in another time warp. The shifting is ...Bang...Bang...Bang. Or should I say...BangBangBang. The color is wild yellow/black with black and yellow highlights on the seats. I promised to send F of LI a picture of myself wearing my yellow warm up suit and black shirt next to the car. When I shoot the picture I will post it. I think it will put a smile on your face.

I was with the Good Doctor today, picking up the SCUD. Hole. Lee. Shnikees. An amazing thouroughbred. If anyone wants to experience the Superfast 2 shifts, do the following(this is NOT an exaggeration!!): Sit in a high-backed chair, like something an exec sits in. Lean back a bit, and pretend to pull the upshift paddle towards you. At the same time have a buddy tee up and hit the back of said chair as hard as they can with a nice 34" Louisville Slugger...you're getting close!! I've been fortunate enough to run all of the Dr's collection through the gears, and this UFO had me qute literally weak at the knees after getting out. The babe at the dealership asked me what I thought, I mumbled something incoherent and tried hiding the huge wet marks in my pits as best I could...this was after a 90sec blast!!!!

It is 4:20 a.m. and I am still thinking about the drive in the 16M yesterday. While the Enzo is like lighting up a Saturn V rocket and you hold on and try to stay in charge of the vehicle the 16M is part of your being. Your mind tells your arms and hands to move and the 16M follows the commands without any effort. Zoom...Zoom...Zoom... or should I again say...ZoomZoomZoom.

Amazing! I guess it defies superlatives, eh?

You know, we have some decent winding roads up here in Kinnelon as well (cough cough) :)
