Nice. Are they sticklers about side window tint there? Here, cops don't really make too much of a fuss about it unless they have other probs and want to pile crap on.
Congrats man! I love the red leather. If only it was a M6. Nice that it has the Z51 package too. Good luck with it!
Very Nice Looking Vette.........The Interior would look great with either Black Inserts or Black Piping, need some blacked out rims with red trim on the lip. I have a 2002 Torch red, and now i want a C6, I test drove 2009 6speed auto and loved it. Enjoy the New Ride....................
Thanks guys. It already has made my drive more fun. Took the top off this morning, went and showed an industrial building, picked up an escrow check, back to the office and got a tan on my bald head in the process. The guys who sold this to me, Stingray Chevrolet, were excellent to deal with. The brakes are a little squealy at very low (idling crawl) speed but not sure if that's a pad issue or the Z51 cars just sound that way. It's just a tiny squeak, too. I cannot imagine the pads being gone in 13k miles, sounds like the rear pads anyway. The car has lived an easy life by the looks of it. I just need to detail it tonight. Now I have TWO cars to take to the car show tomorrow. RMX
Did some detailing Friday. Now I just need to install the Kenwood Excelon and she's 110% what I need. Check out how filthy the tailpipes were. At the show yesterday with her big bro (who, of course, gets all the attention). RMX Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black on red is looking good there! What wax do you like? Lots of Corvette 'Zaino fans' around. Great before and after on the tailpipes to. CH
This time I used Megs #7 Show Car Glaze followed by a coat of Megs NXT. That combo works great on the Chevelle. I clayed the front bumper to get the dried bug marks off. Then glaze and aforementioned NXT. The tailpipes got Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. The only way I could get the crud off was with a buffing wheel on a cordless Dremel set on low. If I really want them to gleam, I have white jeweler's rouge I can use with a clean buffing wheel. The whole car needs clay. It has some water spotting and some hairline scratches. Used Scratch-X here and there, but the car needs a whole once over with polishing compound. I am ordering a pre-cut 3M clear bra tomorrow and installing it myself. $131, can't beat that. RMX
I love Mothers and Megs as well. I HATE Zaino. Where did you order the 3M clear bra from? I'd like to order one when I get mine. I payed $800 for one installed on my last car. I'd like to try it myself and $131 is cheap!
Congrats! I also love the red interior. Any plans on some wheels? or keeping it stock? Asking because of the comment above.
Nice result, the NXT is quite popular to. I like the stock look for the wheels but some people have put on the Z06 wheels which does tend to confuse casual observers!!! CH
Right here. This for front bumper... http://www.nextlevelride.com/store/clear-bra-kits-autos-trucks-vans-chevrolet-corvette-base-2005/ RMX
